Classes?

By GrandAdmiralCrunch, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Eveb though I don't own it, I understand that Decent 2.0 added classes to the system which helped flesh characters out.

Do you think they will do the same for Imperial Assault.

There have been many Star Wars RPG's with class systems. Fan favorite Knights of the Old Republic had Soldiers, Scouts, Scoundrels, Jedi Sentinels, Jedi Guardians, and Jedi Consulars.

Even within that limited mix the base characters could fit into one of those classes, not to mention the myriad of classes from other RPG's.

Thoughts?

They moved away from that for Imperial Assault. In Descent, each hero had two classes to choose from. In Imperial Assault, each hero comes with a single class deck and they use the same deck every time they are used.

The Imperial player, however, does get 3 different class decks: Military Might, Technological Superiority, and Subversive Tactics. I'm expect we'll get more Imperial class decks in future expansions, but I suspect each new hero will come with a single class deck.
