Our Storage Solution

By Kamehameornah, in Talisman

My wife and I picked this up at a local thrift store a few months ago... We found that it is literally perfect for Talisman storage. The smaller drawers fit the cards perfectly (1 card wide and 2 cards deep) and the larger drawers fit the width and length of one large card. We also put the minis in here and separate them by alignment! By the way, this is with all the 4th edition revised expansions and the base game. :-)

Me want o_o What are it's origins?

I'm not sure Utile! My wife said some department stores should have them near the tools or maybe craft section, but I can't sacrornsurebhecsuse we got ours from the thrift store for $5.00. Sorry XD

Is the 'Rubber Bands' expansion a home brew? :)

I have heard that "Rubber Bands" are worse than a band of Zombies. As you have multiple bands!

Haha! That's the only box that is some what unrelated... We wrapped the cards in rubber bands to keep them from getting mixed up. All the different city cards, etc... Good eye ;-)

Hi Kame, that is a great solution, and yes probably found near hardware section. It has similarity to my system; fishing tackle boxes (plastic) with adjustable guides for reallllly long Adventure decks - or shorter.

My system is not very good for the larger sized character, toad, alt.ending, etc. cards.

But looks good.

Thanks 0beron! I can see the similarity between this and a tackle box.

Let me tell you all a story about Rubber Bands and Talisman, true story here, not running with the joke any more.

A friend of mine got some extra Advanture cards for 2nd Edition Talisman, so he rubber banded them and put them in his cupboard. About 3-4 years later he moved and found them in his cupboard. The rubberband chemicaly attached to the cards and dried up, wrecking 2-3 of the cards.

Now whenever I get cards rubber banded from Ebay for any game I let the seller know this story so it never happens again.

Please, please, never rubber band game cards!!

:(

Oh wow. I didn't know that was possible... I wonder how long it takes to do that? We play every weekend so they only stay rubber banded for about 6 days at a time. Maybe I'll go home tonight and take those out, and split the Warlock Quest & Reward Quest cards up again just to fill the void...

Soon we will have to build wall installations to house all the expansions :)

If you like the idea of rubber bands and don't want the danger, I've seen people use those hair band things many women/girls use. They stretch almost as good as a rubber band but made of cloth and should not be a danger to the cards.

Personally I don't want my cards stressed at all.

The rubber band is not a problem if you sleeve your card.

Stress on card shouldn't be a problem either.

Cheers
