Bounty List

By swrider, in Game Masters

I’ll do some hacking on the code to make it use case statements instead of lots of nested if and elifs, and I’ll see if I can plug in some more data as well.

I’ll post a link to my code on github when I’m done with the next phase.

sure, go for it :)

Another thing to remember is bounties may not always be on a person who has committed a crime. In the Bounty Hunter story in SWTOR one contract you get is a missing person's bounty placed by his family. Also there's the idea of a mark who puts the bounty on his own head. In one of the old RPGs there was a guy who had an impenetrable fortress so he placed a bounty on his own head to test out his fortress. Or the mark could be luring bounty hunters to him so he can defeat them and cash in the bounty that is placed on THEIR head. A bounty hunter Hunter if you will.

What a totally kick ass RPG community you guys are.

So I also made a Bounty Board mission generator and I also made a hired gun mission generator, both in an excel sheet. It's not super detailed it's just meant to give gms the bare skeleton of an adventure and then pay the pc's accordingly, I'd love any feedback you guys have.

The first 2 pages are the automatic mission generator front end for bounties and hired gun contracts respectively. They pull random numbers front the last 2 sheets to give you the outline of a mission, the setting and the reward.

If you have any idea for bounties please provide them here.

Eh, why reinvent the wheel?

10,000 credits. Viro the Geonosian wanted for murder by Queen of Kubaz clan K'tha on Kubindi.

(The Kubaz, who eat insects on their homeworld, veiw the Geonosians as simply a food source. Many Kubaz hunters smuggle themselves, or get smuggled, onto Geonosis, kill some Geonosians, or steal the bodies of recently deceased, and smuggle Geonosians back to Kubindi. Viro saw a Kubaz walking towards his household and killed him from a distance with his sniper rifle. A party of four more Kubaz went after Viro later in the afternoon as vengeance, but Viro escaped, killing one and wounding two others. Viro has now vanished, and the Geonosians are saying nothing of his whereabouts. The Empire has tight hold on Geonosian spaceports, and despite begging from the natives, refuses to investigate Kubaz any more than other species. For this reason, Kubaz hunters roam freely all over Geonosis.)

I went ahead an made an excell version of quicksilvers table that will automatically generate two bounties. It is now working though I still have a little work to do to make it look better. I will try to upload it in the next few days once it is a little more polished and I figure out how to upload it. I just thought I would let everyone know it is coming.

I have added it to dropbox so if you are interested it is available at.

I have left the document unlocked in case you want to make changes.

A special thanks to Quicksilver for making the charts I based it off of. I credited you in the text section of the document.

The first one you created works better than the second. The new one seems to be grabbing data from the wrong cells.
