Bearing Question

By barabelsftw, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Just skimmed through the FAQ to see if this is covered and couldn't find an answer so I figured I'd ask. In regards to navigator: what bearing is the 0 maneuver? Does it count as a straight or is it its own special bearing?

Stationary is its own bearing.

The bearings are:

Ahead

Left Bank

Right Bank

Left Turn

Right Turn

K-turn

Stationary

(and presumably soon to be)

Left S-Loop

Right S-Loop

Stationary is its own bearing.

Left S-Loop

I figured this was the case. Thanks! Though part of me feels like if navigator allowed ahead and stationary to combine Kagi might get a little more play. You could see where all the lower PS ships move and then decide if you want to move or stay stationary.

don't forget

IG-88D's special right S-Loop and his left S-Loop.

IG-88D's special right S-Loop and his left S-Loop.

Would those be different bearings, or is it simply a template substitution when executing a regular s-loop?

The latter.

He gets a choice of different templature under the same bearing symbol.
