I really like the analysis you've provided with this kind of list, because it's the sort that if I were to see it, my eyes would just slide on by, and my brain would see only "some Rebel ships", but on second glance with some explanation of how things work, it makes some sense.

Haha, you'd be surprised at how many people at GenCon had the same initial thought on the list. Some maintained it, but others ended up seeing its merit. Jonathan Groves was PO'd that he lost, twice, to it, and then held it in great admiration after that.

I believe it. The Defender list I posted in the OP is noticed, but I usually get weird looks. I have a feeling that your list would not be noticed at all, but halfway through the match your opponent would be down and not fully understand how they reached that state unless they were really paying attention.
