Random Phantom Pilot (sigma squadron?) + Saboteur and Stygium Thingy (free evade).

Or:

Oicun + Mara, Jerjerrod, Predator, and Ysanne

Kath Scarlett + Lone Wolf and Rebel Captive and that card that only Large ship shave that gets rid of a lock and gives them 1 extra agility for the turn.

Something like that.

Saboteur on a phantom is hilarious! I once used Soontir Fel, Carnor Jax and Captain Kagi at a Game Night tournament. Kagi had Saboteur, but in the three games I played he never used it. Phantoms have a better chance because they can decloak to close the distance, and it definitely wins points for unconventionality.

We had a tourney on May 4th last year and I decided to do a thematic squad:

Chewie w/Han, Threepio and the Falcon title

Luke w/Artoo

Rebel Operative w/Leia

Basically, the original cast, as close to canon as I could get (Leia on the HWK was the only way to get everyone in). I named it "The Holiday Special," fully expecting it to be a disaster. And the dang thing ended up going 2-1!

I prefer int agents on generic phantoms.

They basically become their named variants only cheaper by 10 or so points

Maybe, but that's not the build i was looking for. Saboteur just allows the phantom to annoy people. I suppose you could use Mara Jade the same way.

I ran Kath and Rear Admiral last night and went 2/1. Kath with Lone Wolf and Rec Spec, Admiral with Rebel Captive, Ysanne Isarrd, Determination, and Weapon's Engineer. It was fun and liberating to have to think of only 2 ships, but Imperial Kath no longer rocks my knee socks now that I've found true love in Scum and Villainy.

At the top of my fun-list-to-play list:

4 Blue squadron pilots with E2 mod and a named crew member that is also a pilot in their own right.

options for crew include: Kyle Katarn, Han Solo, Lando, Leebo, Nien Numb, Dash, and Jan Ors.

It would make for interesting gameplay and plenty of banter opportunity.

might just play the Outrider as its fun. Last time i used Dash + Lando + Experimental INterface + HLC + title + VI. Not sure about VI, it's a bit dull but Dash has crappy PS.

Not sure what to use with it though. I tried Etan Baht but it didn't work.

Imp Kath with mangler cannon, lonewolf, and tactician may have enough special tricks in her bag to sway you back...
