Participating in my second store championship this weekend

I wanna change up my list somehow, so I'm gonna break it down and see if I have anything superfluous you guys can point out

Rear admiral cheerio, ruthlessness, ysanne, dauntless

Boba fett, lone wolf, recon specialist

I went 3-3 with these guys, finishing in 22nd place.

At first glance, ruthlessness is the pick to change, but I did kill 2 ships without ever firing on them my first go-round (an a-wing and a tie)

I've thought about losing dauntless, and grabbing jerjerrod for more survivability.

Boba is only there for his pilot skill, as I've yet to come across a situation to use his ability. Such is boba-life, for now. I could probably be talked into backing him down to kath, and using those extra points to boost the cheerio further.

What do you guys think? I know I can chalk up one of my losses to all day gaming fatigue, is there anywhere else I can make up another?

I've built pretty much the same build but with differences on the admiral. I prefer predator and rebel captive on him over the title and ruthlessness. I had Boba the exact same. It puts you at an even 100, but you don't really need initiative bids. I find the title not really worth it. Ruthlessness I like better on Ociunn.

Now what I haven't determined is if running Engine Upgrade instead of Isard is more beneficial. EU really helps the Deci dance around and with predator and his pseudo focus, you can boost most turns without hurting offense. I think you kind of want the enemy to focus on the Decimator first as Boba will be super hard to kill in a end game scenario against 1 or 2 ships.

Rear admiral

Predator

Engine Upgrade

Ysanne

Rebel captive

This has become my go decimator build

With predator and his pilot ability you have mini target lock and focus, great for those who try to block you.

And allows you to use engine upgrade yo boost out-of arcs. Again allowing you to still have some dice modification.

Especially for a ship with no agility and for a two ship build you want to minimize the amount of ships firing at the decimator.

Ysanne will kick in to reduce some dmg and rebel captive is great for being a deterrent, and even better against Phantoms and ptl dash builds

Edit

Could always throw veteran instincts on Kath.

Her ability imo is better than fett and will give you a ps of 9

But then her elite slot is used

Or

Krassis with hlc.

I think I like him the best just for his ability, just wish he had an elite slot or higher ps

I've been contemplating a similar list. I have tournaments Feb 21 and 22 and while I desperately want to show off my Kath Scarlet Firespray re-paint, I fear that Scum and Villainy won't be legal yet.

So I'm working on a Decimator to fit with Kath Scarlet. My initial thought is the Rear Admiral with Expose and EI, but chasing the green on a Decimator means going FAST. You cover a lot more ground than you might want to, given you're hoping to keep to range 1-2 for Chiraneau's Focus/Crit pilot ability. Dropping him down to Oicunn with Engine Upgrade and Daredevil might be a good idea too, but the green chasing continues to be a challenge.

the problem with either build is that you cant ram the deci chock full of upgrades like you would in a deci/swarm build. the firespray can handle itself lightly equipped, but to get the most out of a decimator you have to slap a ton of stuff onto it.

Not really

I've done very well with the decimator loudout listed above.

I'm contemplating the following:

Admiral Scarlet (99/100)

========================

VT-49 Decimator: Rear Admiral Chiraneau (46 + 10)

+ Predator (3)

+ Rebel captive (3)

+ Ysanne Isard (4)

Firespray-31: Kath Scarlet (38 + 5)

+ Lone Wolf (2)

+ Recon Specialist (3)

all i'm really getting from this is that need to buy a shuttle already.

i'm probably gonna drop ruthlessness for predator. there seems to be a heavy influx of both rebel and imperial swarms, so predator would help that along, while pairing nicely with the rear admiral's ability. i briefly considered weapons engineer, for better action economy without taking stress.

I'm contemplating the following:

Admiral Scarlet (99/100)

========================

VT-49 Decimator: Rear Admiral Chiraneau (46 + 10)

Firespray-31: Kath Scarlet (38 + 5)

Though now I see no reason for Predator if I don't have EU. The Rear Admiral really doesn't need focus.

I could put Ruthlessness on! Haha.
