Heavy Dash

By Ravinoc, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I haven't see this list before but I am new so if this has been done I am sorry for the repeat.

Dash Rendar 36, Heavy Laser Cannon 7,Cluster Missiles 4,Lone Wolf 2,Outrider 5 = 54

Z-95 Bandit 12, Concussion Missiles 4 = 16

A-wing Prototype Pilot 17, Chardann refit -2 = 15

A-wing Prototype Pilot 17, Chardann refit -2 = 15

For a total of 100pts.

Setup

I try to setup the asteroids spaced about range 1 1/2 from each other an in the center of the board as i can. I find a lot of people misjudge some turns cuz it looks like there is so much space there.

I start the awings an the z-95 in a corner with a-wing 1 on the front line on the edge the 2nd A-wing also on the front line range 1 away from the 1st then the Z-95 on the back edge in between them. Dash then goes range 2 away from them towards the center.

This start point work great if you opponent goes for dash the other come in an clean up, if they go for a-wings an Z-95 Dash hits hard on them. If they try to split there force an send there big ship after Dash say like a deck out Echo or Whisper or the like. Dash can keep them at range 2-3 or if they do get in range 1 that were the Cluster missiles come in.

I play this very Aggressively Jumping hard off the line. The only ship that stay i little back is the Z-95 but only one step behind the A-wings.

I have run this against Imperial fleets only about a dozen times. Its so far undefeated.

So what do you think?

I would use Proton rockets on Dash instead of clusters. Serves the same purpose of filling in you front arc at range one, it's 1 point cheaper (iirc), and you can spend your token on the attack dice.

I went with the cluster cuz of its two attacks. so they can use tokens an things on the 1st round so they dont have anything for the 2nd attack. or am I misunderstanding the cluster?

No misunderstanding, you perform the attack twice. Nice on Airen Cracken as well, as he distributes two actions this way. ;-)

Again i am new but is't there a card that lets you increase/decrease your attack range by one?

Drop an Engine Upgrade on Dash instead of the missles. Run him with PTL & Nein Numb for an amazingly agile ship.
