Location special ability: once per turn ?

By zeb, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Hi,

I remember Kevin ruled that a location special ability could be only resolved once per turn. Could you please help me find the original answer ? I cannot find it here or at BGG forums.

Thanks.

I'm guilty of ignoring this when it comes to the science building happy.gif

Huh? You shouldn't need Kevin; that's the rules. Each Investigator gets one Encounter per turn; on the right boardspace, they can choose to follow the text instead of drawing a card. No boardspace states that you can perform the act multiple times in one turn.

Are you asking if more than one Investigator on the same space can perform the same act in the same turn? In that case, it's "once per turn per Investigator."

Wow, I checked the F.A.Q. and didn't find anything. However, I'm sure there was an official statement that you cannot use a location special ability more than once per investigator per encounter phase. So, for example, you cannot acquire more than 2 clues at the science building, or more than 1 ally at Ma's.

In addition, note that you must buy at least one item at the Arkham shops if you can do so.

Thanks to all. I am almost sure there was a statement, but it must have disappeared with the old forums.

Considering you wouldn't have to pay to use the asylum or the hospital I think it should be clear that its one use only.
