Its funny, I was going to take the website and convert it to PDF so I can put it on my GM aid (my iPad) and just when I decide to do it, I come on here and find that you beat me too it, thank you.

Good quality, I do think the text is a little too large and the tables are very basic and don't fit with the other fan supplements and other tables in the books, but still nice to have it as a PDF.

This is pretty good. I'll show this to our GM. It will give the group's Outlaw Tech/Mechanic droid some things to use his Utinni! talent for.

I won't complain about the cover. This is great. I intend my players to have lots of opportunity to repair their ship so this is a great supplement.

I was thinking I'd add a few items to the "costs for common services" section, and wanted to get some feedback...

Landing Fee- 10-100cr

Berthing Fee (per day)- landing fee x ship silhouette

Customs Fee- 5% of cargo value

Manifest Discrepency Fine- 20% of cargo value

Visitation Fee (for non-residents)- 10cr

Hunting/Trapping Permit- 30cr

Restricted Weapon Permit- 50cr

Fuel Costs???

I'd increase the landing/docking fee, and increase it's range 100-1000c times Silhouette seems good. Might change based on which port on the planet, prime loading locations, and other factors as well.

Keep the berthing fee the same, but add a lower (say 10%) Long-term Berthing fee with a 1 week minimum. Storing a ship long term doesn't block up a valuable unloading slot.

I'd rename Customs Fee Tariff, and make it 1% - 10%. (keep in mind, a well packed YT-1300 carrying, say, cheap and bulky datapads (75c and 1 enc ea) has a declared cargo value of over 120,000 credits. (or well over half a million credits in a wayfarer), so 10% is a lot of money.

I'd also rename visitation fee as "Passenger Fee", as that kind of thing is typically aimed at cruise liners and other passenger craft.

Of course, these kinds of things are also going to vary wildly across the galaxy, and in the case of tariffs may depend on where you're coming from as much as where you landed.

Fuel is always an interesting one, but you need to firm up how it's burned before you can figure out how to charge for it.

For a lot of the simple stuff, I print myself on your usual cheap inkjet. For all this "deluxe" full color stuff, I've been sending it to the local UPS store which does online printing of amazing quality for 35¢ a page.

The problem with refueling, as I noted before, is it's meaningless without a consumption rate. Consumables are a little easier as we often list in terms of person/days, although that could vary significantly based on quality and on-ship facilities. It'll depend on recycling in Star Wars - how much water and air is lost every time it goes through the refresher? We'd also have to define what is or isn't covered - what quality food? Luxuries? bedsheets? fixing the holotable? If we're going to include those, should probably also include basic ship maintenance. Just like cars, ships are complex machines that are going to need routine work and parts at any given time, not just when they get damaged.

That's why it offers a range rather than a fixed number daeglan, its based on GM caviat. However I do think it needs to add whether that cost is per day or for a fixed period of time (like a week).

It states pretty clearly that the prices shown are not for one specific place, but variable depending on where they are...this allows the GM to make appropriate changes and usage of the material based on location

Your little pamphlet looks quite nice, as far as I can tell.

Although, in my opinion, a few services are somewhat pricey:

The published prices of landspeeders range fron cr 4,500 to cr 10,000. So paying cr 100/day for a speeder, selling for cr 6,000, is like renting a car for $ 335 that sells for $ 20,000. In WEG's Mos Eisley Guide they charge cr 300/day for a T16 Skyhopper, cr 45/day for an XP-38A Landspeeder and cr 30/day for an XP-291 Skimmer.

Corellian Translines (as of WEG's Adventure Journal 16) charge:

• cr 10,000 for the Royal Suite on a four-week-luxury-liner-trip,
• cr 300/hour for a grade-I-hyperdrive "Pinnacle Service" transport,
• cr 80 (3rd class), cr 110 (2nd class) and cr 140 (1st class) per hour for a grade-II-hyperdrive "Express Service" transport,
• cr 100 per 10 hours in a double bunk sleeping compartment on a grade-IV-hyperdrive "Standard Service" transport.

WEG's Tramp Freighters Guide states a docking fee of cr 50/day for a light freighter (silhouette 4) at a standard class spaceport, going up to cr 150/day at a "particularly busy Imperial class starport". Bulk freighters take up twice the space in a docking bay.

The lodging prices, on the other hand, are well consistent with those published in "Wretched Hives of Scum and Villainy", ranging from cr 15 to cr 200.

Concerning Refueling

It's WEG again:

There is a restocking base fee of cr 10 (up to cr 35 at remote places). The total cost is base fee x total number of PAX and crew x days consumed.

That might not be very accurate, but it is easy to handle. Myself, I use a little more elaborate formula, based on time in hyperspace and actual number of life forms.

I've always thought WEG berthing and resupply costs were a bit low, but after some research (below) I tend to think they may have got it right. Long winded thought process documented below. It's all very speculative.

Some realworld comparisons on berth/dock rental costs. I'm going with 1 Credit = $1. That could be argued, but it is at least in the ballpark and others seem to agree with me. As noted above, WEG suggests a transport costs from $50 to $150 per day to store. On average, that's 3000 $/credits per month. When you look at some realword prices for monthly large boat dock rentals, you get under $1000 per month. That's 1/3rd the price, but we aren't talking interstellar ships here. $3000 per month seems realistic to me. I DO think that if you aren't renting the landing spot for an entire month, the fee should go up considerably. That monthly rate is for long term storage. I think it is way to cheap to pay only 50 bucks to land a ship for a night at a starport. So that monthly rate is the reduced rate, but increase it for a daily rate.

To keep it simple, perhaps for transports and fighters, 20cr x Silh per day for short term docking or 400cr x Silh per month for long term docking? Adjust by frontier vs. core, just a stone pad vs. luxury berthing. I would merge all of that berthing fee, landing permit, etc. stuff into just this one fee to keep it simple and play moving along quickly.

Resupply? You can't just compare to fuel costs of a modern boat. A starship needs food, air, and who knows what else resupplied. The actual fuel cost could be less then a modern boat since Star Wars ships don't seem to need large fuel tanks. Modern boat capacities can range widely from 10's of gallons for speed boats to 1000's of gallons for big yachts. I want to think yacht when comparing to a transport. So it could easily cost $/Cr1000's to fuel up a transport for a long trip if comparing directly to a modern yacht. Like I said above, fuel requirements (the expensive stuff) should be much lower for the Star Wars transport even if they also need to spend more money on life support (the cheap stuff). Typical trips in Star Wars would also be much shorter then those in a modern yacht. Using WEG's restock of Cr10 to 35 x5 passengers/crew (averaging) gives us around Cr1500 to Cr5250 per month. That's easily compareable to a modern large yacht. A typical Star Wars transport trip will be much shorter then a month, so I would use a fraction of that to resupply between typical trips.

I don't like the idea of having to keep track of passenger count, crew count, and number of days traveled in order to compute a final cost to resupply at the next port. That is fine for Traveller, but this is FFG Star Wars. I'm fine with giving a basic resupply cost between each trip when landing at a port. For transports I would go with something like 200cr x Silh between each trip.

I think that's why there are ranges for some items, besides it offers a good way to keep the players hungry. The WEG Tramp Freighter book doesn't offer the same "on the edge" feeling of Edge of the Empire. Just my opinion mind you.

I think there will be abit of overlap, but its slightly different, and concerns the Operational Costs of running a starship.
