FFG should have them, please share with community, the maps are small and could be printed easily
PDF version of maps
I feel similarly. It's not that I want something free, but the maps are the most frustrating part of this game. It takes anywhere from 10-20 minutes to just assemble the map for any given mission. While the puzzle-piece design is novel and a cool concept, when you're trying to get new people into a game and it takes 20 minutes just to set up the map, it's a real buzzkill. I know they wouldn't be as durable as paper, but I honestly would have preferred foldable paper maps (or, cost permitting, roll-able vinyl mats).
I've started doing some pdf help files which can be found in this thread: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/166768-campaign-map-pdf-help-files-wip/
i like puzzles....
...and this is like 3rd grade level....what takes you so long to assemble?

Resurrecting this a bit, but it's not the difficulty. It's sorting out the numbers (7-10 pieces in a hay stack), then placing figures and tokens, then recollecting my upgrades/agendas from previous missions, then spending XP and influence on new stuff, then familiarizing myself with the mission for a minute, then actually getting started. It totally takes 20 minutes from the time I pull the box off the shelf to the first die roll.
Maybe you could like sort the pieces in Zip-locks bag or w/e is convenient for you from 1 - 10.. 11- 20 and so on. Then tell the rebels the number of the pieces you need while you read the mission, then put it together and enjoy. I started doing this and it was waay quicker, if you have access to a white board it could be even easier so you don't have to repeat the numbers again and again
Happy dice rolling!
If you look around there are some pdf files out there that have break downs of all the maps including which pieces you need and the jigsaw layout to show where everything goes. I used it the other day for the IG-88 side mission. It made it easy to assemble. Also as people are pointing out braking things down the tiles into groups by numbers makes fast work of assembling the puzzle.
For me, I've just started gathering the pieces I need ahead of time for the campaign mission, and bagging them separately from the others, so I have exactly on-hand the pieces I need, and can quickly setup the board. I keep the mission card in the bag with them, so I know what mission the bag belongs to. A gallon ziplock bag is good for this.
With the campaign, knowing what my next mission is makes this much easier. Heck, I usually have the mission after THAT one bagged and ready to go too, all pieces not currently being used, permitting.
So, I have the players choose their "next" mission before we breakup for the evening, and this way I can prep things ahead of time for when we meet. Only takes about 10 minutes of setup then.

too each their own..... ...everything you describe is the FUN of the adventure.... ......recommend that you just relax and enjoy you 20 minutes of setup....(but maybe greater organization is a key?)....wunderbar!
Having it as a sheet of paper/card would be a lot faster. but it doesnt take long to set up our games. All the tiles are in separate ziplock bags 1-10, 11-10 etc and another bag labeled 'next mission'. It takes no more than 5 mins to set up the map and start playing. After the 1st mission while the rebels are deciding what to do with the upgrades and how to spend the xp, i am setting up the 2nd mission of the night. The next mission is then chosen for the following week and the process is repeated.
I currently have a photoshop document with all the core game maps in, including the waves that don't require the Twin Shadow tiles. They were photographed assembled, instead of scanning in all the pieces and trying to assemble them. I'm finishing up some clean up on them now but would be happy to share them out once I am done with them.
