March release date?
I have additional news. You may get tired of me doing that
I'll only get tired of it if it means that the release date is exactly at the time that I'm boarding the plane for GA. Then my store will probably also have a release party while I'm away. It would figure, since another store is doing their X-Wing Store Championship in my absence as well.

The owner of my FLGS got on the phone with her supplier today to confirm information on the release date. The warehouse she called said that they have product and are waiting on the okay to ship it. I really should have had her clarify if they have the core only or everything, but the implication sounded like they have wave 1 as well. She then called FFG who confirmed to her over the phone that barring any absolute disasters (damaged shipments, holdups by customs on the last shipments, etc.), everyone should have sellable product no later than the end of March! Subsequently my store is still planning an event on the 14th (if any of us have the game yet) and an official release party on the 28th.
End of March I can handle (I fly back on the 31st).
Okay, enough about me: This would mean that they would hit their Q1 target, and it wouldn't be too at odds with the Upcoming page, given that the on-the-Boat time is posted as a 6-8 week variable.
I just heard mid April for global release from one of my local stores, and late April/Early May for us here in NZ :/

I called The War Store yesterday because on their website you could add Armada to your cart, and it said it would ship within 1 business day. Sadly they confirmed that it was stuck on the west coast, and didn't know when it might arrive.
Depending on where ColbaltWraith's mysterious warehouse is located it might be slowly making it's way across the country.

You probably can't find it by search as its currently "unavailable to order" after they sold out at the low price they had them listed at.

I am changing my assessment of the Amazon date: considerring today is the 7th, the "Arrival Date" of March 9th is just hilarious...
Wal-Mart still has the release date of April 28.
Amazon UK just relisted awith release. Date 22 April.

I don't think so. They all seem to have a different date.
Miniature Market told me sometime in March when I asked them last week, but they weren't able to be any more specific than that.
Especially not the big-box or large online retailers. They don't even know what the game is, yet alone when it will be coming out.
Considering that different retailers have different dates it adds to the idea that they have very little insight into when Armada will be released.
Best bet is still the 31st due to the FFG news post that was taken down. Obviously the dock issues complicate matters significantly.

Yeah I think that date might have been placeholder or affected by the dock issues.
Also I think the first wave will be more than a week later than the core set at this point.

No way that is worth pursuing unfortunately. Having tried several times, it is usually a waste of effort and attention that ends up being more frustrating than amusing. If you want to take it all the way through you end up having to be about as immoral as the scam artists already are, which really defeats the purpose...
Overpricing massively isn't actually a scam. it's just massively overpriced. They are telling you the price clearly and up front, so they aren't trying to scam you.
Technically, there is the chance somebody might want it so badly they'd pay that....it's happened many times with stuff like new gaming console launches and so on, or out of stock YT-1300's for X-Wing. If people are willing to pay, it's not a scam, it's supply and demand.
