what you could do is buy it, keep it for 3 weeks and then give it back unopened for the same price as bought when its not worth that price anymore as the thing has already been released. at least in germany you have the right to do so with everything you buy from the internet.

i sometimes used that mechanic and bought the overpriced one that arrives fast AND the low priced one that arrives later, opened the first that arrived and sent back the one which was more expansive a few days later. exspecially with amazon prime where you dont pay for shipping thats one of the little sicknesses of our system. If you plan on risking your cash that way you should be quite sure that you end up winning though .

I have done similar to stores with stupid return policies, such a it must be returned in its original packaging... Ok, I will go buy one right off your shelf, take out the main device and put the broken one in (in te parking lot), and come right back in to return it, cause it's broke.

im not sure that means release is soon. i guess its a press preview copy like the one forensics friend got.

I talked to my LGS today (I'm in Sweden by the way). Their supplyer claims Armada is coming to them this week, but they have not gotten the go ahead from FFG to ship it to retailers yet. Apperently this is the first time this has happened to them with an FFG pruduct. Usualy they are free to deliver to their retailers as soon as they get the products.

Well, if you still put any stock into the listings on the upcoming page, an update in the next 10 days seems key for securing a March release on time. Otherwise it's still anyone's guess! The IA Ally & Villain packs have been "on the boat" longer than Armada, so I'll be curious to see when these two releases ship relative to each other considering the port issues.

There was an article on the main page a few minutes ago that showed sample fleets, link to the rules and that the game is coming next week. It's not there now.

I don't know about you guys, but I won't be getting armada core when it releases anyways.

I pre-ordered the core along with 1 copy of all wave 1 expansions from cardhaus. I haven't checked, but im guessing that like most online sites, they won't send out my order until all items are in. Thus I'll have to wait for wave 1 to arrive before the core.

I thought about cancelling the order and creating 2 pre-orders, but I hate to flush the shipping money for the core down the drain just due to impatience on my part.

Anyone else in the same boat?

You should write them a mail that you want the core set asap and what you would have to pay for extra shipping once core is out and it turns out wave1 is delayed. its easy for them to set up a paypal link to mail to you to pay for the extra shipping. maybe ask first if they sent it out alone if it releases seperately for free.

i'd just rather not pay shipping for the core since right now I won't pay shipping at all.

Maybe they will have mercy, but I'd imagine they wouldn't want to eat the cost of 2 shippings.

Id ask as soon as it becomes clear that wave1 does not release at the same time as the core. Also sending out stuff that is there asap is a service that some shops might or might not offer. my electronic parts vendor farnell i.e. sends out 5 resistors of each 0.24 cents value for free if that lags behind.

As an additional, humorous aside: I just received notification from Amazon that my Core set won't be arriving by Mar 9th (yesterday, if you haven't been paying attention ;-) )

They now have no idea when it will ship -- but are trying to ship it by Apr 8th.

Basically, nobody knows: I will just be pleasantly surprised when mine lands in my hot little hands!

My Amazon order originally said March 4th, and then they updated it to 'unknown - we'll let you know when we find out more' the day of. It hasn't changed from that unknown delivery since then.

Amazon UK now says 22 of April.
