I am intrigued by this card, but can someone please explain to me how it can be used effectively?
Enhanced Scopes
On a shuttle for bumper cars.
I will try shuttle with enhanced scopes, anti pursuit lasers, Mara Jade, and saboteur.
Every ship in the game has two lists: things that can block me, and things I can block. Enhanced Scope moves everything from the first list to the second list.
Shuttle with enhanced scopes and anti- pursuit lasers.
I use the term Ram-bulance instead of bumper cars. But it is an archaic term from the old Wizkids Mechwarrior game. But yes, basically slap them on a shuttle with anti-pursuit lasers and then get in the way...
I have a couple b wing lists where I use enhanced sensors and intel agent to set up blocks, then another b wing or two with sensor jammer to capitalize on the action loss.
I call it "How can they be jamming us if they don't know we're coming?"
Enhanced Scopes lets you activate as a Level 0 pilot. That means:
- You move at the same time as all of the other Level 0 pilots
- If multiple pilots in your fleet have ES, then you get to choose the order in which they activate.
- You move before all pilots that are Level 1-12.
- You become a very effective Blocker
- You are treated as having a low Pilot Skill by other effects in this phase
- Nera Dantels could theoretically act as a Squad Leader to Ten Numb, for instance.
- You know the board positions when planning
- You cannot lose your actions to a collision, unless you wish to.
Notably, it combos beautifully with Intelligence Agent. When you know the board position when planning, move first, and can use any activation position-change shenanigans to get into a better position against a foe's known maneuver, they're usually boned.

I suggest Navigator over Saboteur. Nav has better synergy with APL

Not much point combining Navigator with Enhanced Scopes as you will move first and have no reason to change your dial. I agree about Sabateur not being worth it though, Id save the points for another ship.

If you've got both Navigator and Intelligence Agent, you may very well have a reason to change your dial based on the maneuver that you see when you peek at your opponent's dial.

I've never tried Saboteur before and it came up in another thread. I'm thinking out of box with this shuttle. I'll throw naked dice because the real value of the shuttle is in action denial, stress, and anti-pursuit laser violence. That technically frees up the action to be used by Saboteur.
anti-pursuit laser violence
That sentence just rolls nicely off the tongue.
Enhanced Scope on CPT Kagi. It will piss your opponent off.

Don't forget the APL.
Captain Kagi
+ APL
+ ES
Carnor Jax
+ PtL
+ AT
Rexlar Brath
+ LW
(cryptic, I know)
Sigma + ES + Intel Agent + SPA = great blockers that dish out lots of damage!
