If you could create a new EPT what would it be?

By DarkGuard, in X-Wing

I would like to see something like

Tactical Retreat

If you fly off the board remove your model turn it 180 degrees and place it touching the board where it flew off it cannot be the target of attacks this turn, the next turn you fly back on and take your turn as normal

there could be restrictions as in lose 1 hp, come back with one or two stress or even ionized or maybe it only works with a straight

Blind Eye

"When you are targeted by an attack with a [Focus] header you may change it to require [Target Lock] instead. If the attack header is [Target Lock] you may change it to [Focus]."

Forum uproar - if against the forum declared flavor of the month, you may reroll all blanks, no matter the cause ;) (this is a joke)

but in all seriousness I would like to see one that's like advanced targeting computer, pr taking an idea from star trek (SACRILEGIOUS) have a one use discard to disable an upgrade within range 2. (it would be an action) could shut alot of the more egregious builds down for a turn.

Reverse thrusters when you reveal a 1 or 2 green maneuver you may place your maneuver template at the back of your ship this maneuver becomes a red maneuver. This i think would be a cool modification.

Some creative name, for purposes of this thread, let's call it "Floor it"

1pt

When performing a boost action, you may use the 2 Straight or 2 Bank template instead

Or, if you want to get more fancy, "Pedal to the Metal"

3pts

When selecting a template, if possible, you may select a template one speed faster than you should. Then receive a stress.

Pedal to the Metal would work as a pseudo Navigator in that you could change one speed faster with the same bearing. It would also open up new maneuvers for some ships, for example the HWK could then perform a 3 turn. And it would make barrel roll and boost better, using the 2 straight/bank template instead of the 1 templates.

Calculating: an ept that is pretty much like accuracy corrector for green dice.

Always a popular topic. Here's a previous incarnation

Here's the two that I always give when this comes up:

Stubborn:
Cost: 2
When attacking or defending, you may receive one stress token to change a blank result to a focus result.

Bush Pilot:
Cost: 2
Once per turn, you may reroll one of your evade dice.

Let's add to that:
Reckless:
Cost: 2
Action: perform a free boost action. Then, reduce your agility by 1 for the remainder of the round.

Surgical Strike

"When your opponent is dealt a face-up damage card as the result of an uncancelled critical hit result, you may discard that damage card to choose one equipped System, Crew or Modification upgrade on the defender. The defender must discard that upgrade."

I want to improve ordnance...

Fire on my Target:

When you declare a target for an attack, a friendly ship at range 1-2 may acquire a TL on that ship.

2 points.

Or,

Sure shot:

When you attack with a secondary weapon that requires a TL, reduce the defenders agility by -1 to a minimum of 0 during the attack.

1 point.

Blind Eye

"When you are targeted by an attack with a [Focus] header you may change it to require [Target Lock] instead. If the attack header is [Target Lock] you may change it to [Focus]."

So essentially someone has to have TL + Focus to shoot ordnance at a ship equipped with this? We want to make ordnance more useable, not worse!

1 point elite talent

"Immediately after performing an action, you may discard this card to make an attack. You may not attack again this round."

This is intended to give low PS ships with an elite talent slot (Green Squadron, Black Squadron) a one-time nasty shot at higher PS ships before they get a chance to arc dodge or turtle up.

Keen: If there are no enemy ships within range 1-3 then all K-Turn Maneuvers are white maneuvers.

2pts? I have no idea how to cost these...

Level Headed:

If you have 1 or fewer stress tokens, you ignore the effects of stress.

I Have You Now

When attacking, after dice have been modified, you may reroll all of your blank results. If the defender's pilot skill is 8 or greater, you may change your blank results to [crit] results instead.

5 points

Death Stare

During movement, If your maneuver pass over an enemy ship, you can immediately give it a stress token.

Don't Blink

3 Points

After you defend against an attack, if the attacker is inside your firing arc and deals one or fewer damage cards to your ship, you may assign one stress token to the attacker.

Here's some more ideas.

EPTs:
Meditation
When an effect allows you to remove a stress token, you may discard this card to remove all stress tokens assigned to your ship.

Pilot ability:
Enemy ships within range 1 may not perform Boost or Barrel Roll actions.

Cannon:
Tracer Cannon
Range 1-3, 3 red dice, 3 points.

If this attack hits, the defender suffers 1 damage and receives 1 Tracer token.

Friendly ships may declare a ship with a Tracer token to be the target of their Missile or Torpedo attacks that require a Target Lock. They do not need to discard their Target Locks to perform their attack. Enemy ships may remove all Tracer tokens as an action.

Slideslip (3 points)(maybe 2)

When you reveal a straight manuever, you do not have to use the nubs as long as the template is flush with the base

Like not being serious Id do a card called no more turrets that automatically detroys a ship with a turret weapon by discarding it. But because that's ridicliusly OP and impossible in all seriousness I want to see an elite pilot talent that could like give you fel's wrath's ability.

I think Ordnance is the main thing in need of help right now (considering all the recent announcements)

Perfect Timing

(picture of Garven looking into his targeting computer during the trench run)

When a secondary weapon instructs you to discard a target lock you may discard this card instead.

1 pt. (or hell, even 0 pts. since it already has a built in opportunity cost)

Marksmanship Mrk 2 (3 points)

When attacking you may spend a focus token, to change 1 of your (eyeball) or (boom) results to a (kaboom) result and all of your other (eyeball) results to (boom) results.

I really like you Sure Shot. I think I would call it Enhanced Warheads. I like the fact that it's 2 points, and makes ordnance very effective again.

Formation flying (2)

Rebel only

Roll one additional Attack for each other friendly ship at range 1 that has Formation Flying.

Win [88 pts]

Action: Upon taking an action, you win the combat.

Win [88 pts]

Action: Upon taking an action, you win the combat.

that point cost...you cheeky bugger

Make it rain- 0 points

Action: make an attack with a missile or torpedo secondary weapon.

Special: Ywing and tie bomber pilots may take this even if they do not have an EPT.
