So, first post and junk but looking at some competitive play and have a question, here is my list
Phantom Decimator HELP!!!
I would keep FCS on Whisper. You need Whisper to actually hit to benefit from the free focus ability. Also, Ysanne wouldn't trigger if you're stressed (from Experimental Interface) since it says "Action" on her card. If you really want 2 actions on Chiraneau, then drop Ysanne and add Gunner on Whisper, which brings the squad to 100 points.
Oh, you know the answer, just think about it! Haha. I'll type it up though.
The combo is:
1. Take Target Lock or Focus
2. Combat triggers Ysanne to give free Evade action
3. Use Experimental Interface to take Expose action
Or someone blocks your move, but still get to do up steps 2 and 3.
However, get Double Stress and it all goes down hill!
Thank ya phild0, also that way you can see if the stress will be worth taking for moves the next turn.
Ah yes, duh!
Friendly advice: Drop that exposte,EI combo, it only works if your local meta hasnt adapted yet. Switch for pred/engine upgrade once it has.

Haha, what he said. If you see Rebel Captive on an enemy Decimator become the standard for your area, and if a majority of the players are running the Decimator, then best change upgrades.

Have to agree with this, the yssard, EI, expose combo is brutal, but you'll be better served in most cases by Yssard, EU and predator.
There's a resurgence of rebel control lists (tactician b wings, r3a2) and of course rebel captive for empire, so stressing the decimator is bad news. But boosting it around the board, dodging arcs, free offensive rerolls and a gauranteed evade turns it into some sort of evil han solo, a much scarier prospect.
Ignore the naysayers, run this build and rejoice in the full power of the Dark Side!
When the game begins and people question why you are running Expose+EI instead of Pred+Engine you retort with:
"Now, you will pay the price for your lack of vision!"
During the game you can laugh as both the Admiral and Whisper kill a B-Wing each in 2 rounds of shooting, cackle as you drop 1-2 Bandits or Tie Fighters per turn and taunt your opponents when you see their looks of indecision when shooting with their precious Phantom..
Then when you win you say:
"Only now at the end, do you understand your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side!"
I don't know why everyone doesn't want to do this..

Thats a nice meta list you have there

Agree. Expose Chirpy has run its course. Giving yourself stress makes you vunerable against control lists. My Chirpy now runs Pred + EU and then sometimes VI.
Would ruthlessness be a suitable replacement and then adding a gunner instead of EU?
I feel like Predator would be wasted because without expose I would always be taking a target lock anyways.

If you have Predator, you should be taking a focus for what is essentially tl/focus. Or you should be boosting out of arcs.
3 dice with tl and focus is better than 4 dice

think you will lose vs chiraneau with vi. he will kill your whisper while you will have to fire on a cloaked whisper.
