One question arose and I can't find the answer anywhere.

I was hoping to tap into the collective brain powere here!

When a character has an Action ability (eg. Spend 4 to wound a targer) does peforming this action cause the character to become exhausted?

No, the character would only become exhausted if it's part of the action cost, i.e."" Action: Pay 4 and exhaust to......"
