So I made this list for a pick-up game the other night and it did surprisingly well:
Tycho
-AWTP
-Conc Missile
-PTL
-Lone Wolf
-Stealth Device
Jake Farrell:
-AWTP
-Char Refit
-Opportunist
-Outmaneuver
-Stealth Device
Gemmer Sojan:
-AWTP
-Prockets
-Veteran Instincts
-Stealth Device
Basic idea is for Tycho to go joust/alpha out on his own.
Gemmer goes straight up and gets in close alpha strike with Prockets first, dodging like a maniac, while Jake gets around the back to nail someone with Outmaneuver/Opportunist. Gemmer's VI is there to shoot first so Jake can fire unhindered.
I got a match in against something I was not expecting:
Rexler Brath
-Predator
-Heavy Laser Cannon (I think; can't quite remember list)
Chiraneau
-Predator
-Ysanne Isard
I managed to deploy all on one side and since he had only 2 ships, committed to taking out Rexler before tackling the 49'r. Alpha strike worked pretty good on Brath. Tycho hung back, Gemmer played midfield and Jake went deep, all along the same line. Tycho's Conc missiles stripped Brath's shields down on turn 2. Turn 3 Brath wiped out Gemmer before I had a chance to fire Prockets, but Jake got vengance and obliterated him from an outside-arc, Range 1 shot without any tokens on Brath.
Spent the next 8 or so rounds maneuvering around the VT49, dodging asteroids and using them to my advantage for additional Agi dice. Tried to spend most of the game at Range 3 for Agi and to deny Cheerio his pilot ability. 1 Agi die meant less for him than for me. Chipped away for quite a while before Tycho ran into an asteroid, lost his actions (ouch) and got one shotted by Cheerio (I think a shield got stripped away earlier by something).
But Jake managed to pick him away with a helpful console fire. Game ended after about 12-14 rounds, who was down 1 shield and a stealth device.
Aside from being effective, the list itself was just crazy fun to fly.
