Working on a list and wondering what crew member to put on my Patrol Leader. Here's the list:

I'd probably say Darth Vader. Rebel Captive is there to cause problems for people firing at 'super-ships' or as part of a stress-token generating squad.

Since you'd be quite happy to have people try and shoot at the patrol leader rather than Echo, I'd avoid anything which might discourage this...

So move RC to Echo could probably be the better choice

Well, Vader would give the Patrol Leader some bite; Echo knocks down the shields on an enemy, then the decimator punches through them and Vader contempt-finishes them off with a starfighter-scale force choke. Should work.

Rebel Captive on Echo would work too, though - it'd be an especially nice card should you find yourself in a mirror match against another phantom, but I worry that the squad then becomes "Echo and two cheerleaders"...

Your are most likely correct. I really like Vader on the Decimator due to the fact that you can really hurt other Phantoms or take that last hull of that rebel ship with R2D2 for example.

Think I will go with my first intuition and use Vader
