Looking to try my hand at my first X-Wing event this weekend. I keep waffling back and forth on what to bring, and my latest ideas involve using Boba Fett as a Whisper counter. Any advice/criticism is welcome!

List 1:

Boba Fett--VI, Gunner, Engine Upgrade

Howlrunner

Mauler Mithel--VI

Nightbeast

Total: 100

List 2:

Boba Fett--VI, Gunner, Engine Upgrade, Seismic Charges

Rexlar Brath--Lone Wolf, HLC, Stealth Device

Total: 100

List 3:

Boba Fett--VI, Gunner

Kenkirk--Isard, Vader, Rebel Captive, Determination

Total: 100

I don't expect to win it all on my first go, but I would like to take something that is competitive and maybe a bit off the standard Whisper/Han/Chewy/B-Wings/Swarm/Dash track. Thanks!

For 6pts you might want to try Outmaneuver + Navigator. Fett-igator makes aligning shots easier and Outmaneuver does not state 'primary' so it's effective works with his Auxiliary.

i personally prefer list #1, it has the most ships. its pretty solid as is. im guessing uv used upgrades that match ur local meta?

i really like engine upgrade on Fett, it gives him the ability to really out manouvre lots of ships.

all of ur ships r threats and have decent PS.

id be tempted to find room for backstabber or perhaps Determination on Howlrunner but as i said, the list is pretty solid as is.

That would depend on if you need Fett to be your 'Top Gun' and shooting first. If your area needs a PS10 shooter go with VI + Gunner. The ability to strike first with a 1-2 combo may be the better choice over Arc Dodging and -1Ag to Target.

Also for List#2 I'd swap Seismic for Slave-1 + Flechettes.

Best advice I have for you is to run some sims against things like PS 11 Hans and PS 9 Whispers and see if you can deal with being at PS8.

Thanks for the advice, all. I'll be participating at an event about an hour and a half away, so I have no clue what to expect. I was hedging my bets that Whipser will make an appearance.
