Crusade of the Forgotten Hero & Monster Collection - Question

By any2cards, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

For those of you who purchased this expansion, I have a question. The answer that you provide will hopefully end a long running debate among our group.

As you may be aware, all of Descent 2e's expansions have their items identified with a unique icon. Sometimes the icon is simply a smaller picture of one of the monsters included in the set.

For Crusade of the Forgotten, the icon looks like a Skull that is in the middle of a ships' wheel. That is the best description I can give.

So, for the question ...

What do you all call this icon?

Thank you for your answer/vote, as it will end a long running dispute and the end result will cost someone dinner and many beers.

The Dead Man's Wheel.

The Captain's Defenestration

Yeah this man seems to have the correct answer.

Okay. I have been somewhat coy up until now, as I am one of the individual's that has the dinner and beers riding on the answer.

I know that this icon is from the staff of the sorcerers. But what would you actually call it?

In other words, would you call it Staff of the Sorcerers?

In other words, would you call it Staff of the Sorcerers?

Not necessarily. I might call the icon the "Sorcerer's Staff" instead. I mean really, it's not even the staff. It's the top of the staff, but it's clearly the part of the staff that distinguishes it from other staves.

...staff..s.

I knew I liked you. :P We all agreed that the first person that provided a name that equaled one of ours would decide the contest. I always called it the Sorcerer's Staff. You wouldn't even believe what some of them called it, even after I pointed out that each and every H&M expansion took it's icon from some characteristic of one of the monsters.

Ohhhh ... I can hear the whinning and moaning already. Let's see ... I am thinking of making them take me to Vic & Anthony's ... a great steak, some good beers, and then a very nice cognac and victory cigar to end the evening. :D
