Strictly speaking, portmanteau the noun refers only to the suit case. It only refers to words as a modifier, so if we're showing respect for the language then the rant should have been against "portmanteau words".
Why exactly one should show respect for a language is another question, as is why coining new words is disrespectful.

What`? For 2 points you get an extra evade at range 3 , that's a good deal. Versus turrets you become close to invulerable (atleast if youre Fel), that's a steal of an upgrade.
Also consider this: Interceptors were always very good against non-turret ships. Guess what happens when there's less turrets around.

Bang on squints have never had an issue with other fighters it's the large turret ships they die to hard.
And I vote for interthrusters because their gonna be tearing people a new one.

Autothrusters works on everything. It's out of arc or at Range 3. The current designers get that hard counter upgrade card in a blind build game usually aren't good game design.
I agree with many others that Autothrusters seem to be an auto-include. With both boost and barrel roll, Interceptors have an easier time than most staying at range 3 when defensive play is called for. It's great (and smart) that you don't build lists with Han specifically in mind, but you have to admit that turrets are a very good counter to flimsy, nimble craft like the Interceptor or even the A-wing. Nobody is asking to be able to field an invincible ship, but when a 30+ point investment has been made I want to at least be able to play the ship as intended.
