Which font can you see better?

By SirRunOn, in Dark Heresy General Discussion

Hey DH2/1 people.

I've had to make two versions of a handout teaser for the upcoming DH game I'm working with my GM on.

It seems that one of the fonts I use burns people's eyes. However, different pdf programs show the handout differently, so while one group sees the first font fine, the next thinks it burns their eyes with pain.

I'm getting all screwed up.

I just need a bigger sampling of people to tell me which version they can see and what pdf reader they're using.

The two versions are:

Which is in Blackadder font and:

Which is in ITS or ITC or something script.

Anyone who wants to view the story without the bells and whistles, it's in the Dark Heresy 2.0 Fanfiction archive.

Both are fine,

Blackadder is easier to read but also looks less "realistic" so you may want to go with the ITS/ITC one for immersion.

Adobe; the first one is easier for me to read.

Yep, first one is easier to read for me as well.

Ah, so Adobe doesn't like the second font.

Keffish, what viewer were you using?

I note ffg when they do text on parchment uses freebooter font. Tried it. Darn thing looks horrible. The curved tops of the taller letters start interfering with each other and make a total mess.

Any further information would always be appreciated. I'm starting to write the GM's packet now.
