CR-90 Title - "Night Caller' From Wraith Squadron

By Funk Fu master, in Star Wars: Armada

I am re-reading the entire X-wing novel series and comics, and have just started on Wraith squadron.

I LOVE the modified CR-90 they capture from the Imps (Well, Warlord Zsinj)and use as a base.

It had a modified bow with a hanger that could hold 4 Ties, that they jury rigged up to hold 9 X-wings, with another 3 in the dorsal hanger. It also had a capital ship grade tractor beam and could lay mines.

I love the idea of a single self contained squadron on patrol with their own base flying alongside with them

Hopefully "Night Caller" makes an apperance as a title card.

Maybe something like "Increase your sqaudron rating by 1, squadron actions can be made up to range 3" The increased range is to represent piggy providing fighter direction and control. And if they exist, give it the upgrade option that would allow tractor beams.

Well we know we're getting a increase your hanger bay by 1 card. If the mechanics of the game allow it and I'm not sure since we havent seen a rule book yet. You might be able to convert a corvette to a carrier but then your gonna have to deal with it's low squadron command witch i think is a 2. But heck 2 X-Wing squadrons can cause a lot of havoc

It will be intresting to see if we can do things like this.

I'm on board with anything related to Wedge or the Rogues.

But yeah, absolutely, I would love to see a ship that you can dedicate as a squadron coordinator. It would create some really important considerations for your opponent depending on the active objective. Are the more potent fighters worth focusing down the ship buffing them? Will the fighter screen hold? And on the other side, how much is invested into the coordination corvette? Should escorts be dedicated if it starts getting chased down?

I can't wait to get this on the table. Daydreaming in the office will have to do for now though.
