This may be covered somewhere, but just wanted to ask if anyone knows the sweet hook-ups for getting great deals on ships or accessories in the US.

I used Miniature Market for my last purchase, their sale prices seem very good for what I've seen elsewhere. Is that a good option?

I also am interested in buying the following accessories:

- Extra set of dice (and maybe a bag to keep them in?)

- Star field mat, for an official play area

- A case to safely store my miniatures (and other game components) in.

Does anyone have suggestions for these? MM has the dice and dice bags, but the star fields seem to be very expensive. As for the storage case, I just have no idea where to start.

Miniature Market or Cool Stuff Inc are both great places to buy online. They have the same prices and both offer free shipping over $100.

Another option if you are looking for stuff that isn't in stock there is Barnes and Noble. Quite a lot of them carry X-Wing stuff, but not everyone goes looking for it so you can sometimes find hard to find stuff there.

Extra dice you can buy anywhere you buy the ships at, same goes for the bag. But you would most likely have a place to put them in whatever you store your X-Wing stuff in. A 2nd core set is a great deal, you get extra dice, extra ships, ect...

The star field mat you can again buy anywhere you buy your ships at.

A lot of us use Plano boxes to keep our X-Wing stuff in. Like a Plano 3500, you can resize it to a point and make room for different size ships. Can pick those up at Walmart for like $30 or less.

Shipping seems to get pricey especially if you're ordering anything larger than single small ships, so do you think it's a good idea to just drop big sums at a time for the free shipping?

What should I add to that list? Including an extra dice set, I'm at $53 there. Probably at least one of the single A-Wing, B-Wing or X-Wings, to get the pilots and upgrades, since I already have one of each of those ships. What else?

Edit: As I've been perusing MM, someone bought the last B-Wing AND TIE Bomber right out from under me. I would have gotten both. Punks!

I noticed that, irecruiter. I am excited to try out large ships, and I will of course want the Falcon eventually, but until I know I will have regular opponents and get some experience, it's not a priority. As far as large ships go, I want the VT-49 Decimator badly after learning about it. Playing the pilot who rams other ships for damage seems like a hilariously good time.

I couldn't help myself last night, totally caved I bought the Decimator, Z-95, and some extra dice. I'll wait until MM restocks a bunch of stuff before deciding to fill up my collection with a big purchase. But for now, this will hold me over.
