The art of Bullying someone...

By Gryphynx, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Due to my career, I can't openly say who I am or post pics that could identify me or even exactly where I'm from. No I'm not a spy, I'm a cop, so once my name and department are revealed any posts I make suddenly become me representing XX PD and City of XX even if I make a disclaimer. Thus, I must remain anonymous in order to remain.

(Mind you, James Bond was a terrible spy. Anything-but-secret Secret Agent)

So, one of these:

and one of these:

Right?

As for myself, I’m pretty open about who and what I am. Feel free to visit my linkedin page, if you like.

So you're saying less Sean Connery and more this guy:

DonAdams.jpg

(link for haley, who will probably have no idea who Don Adams is - unless she's familiar with Inspector Gadget)

I grew up on re-runs of Get Smart and many an episode of Inspector Gadget! Never expected to see him posted here!

We are just us. and don't worry stern, if any of us were going to do something it probably would be done by now. You being in law enforcement was obvious with your concerns aboout the new super troopers movie. SUPER TROOPERS 2!!! ...i'is escited...

Why a Glock? Bond was all about the Walther (PPK or as in this poster a Walther air gun) and not a Glock.

Bond carried Beretta .25 with the grip removed and taped over to slim the profile.

The Walther was forced on him in "Dr. No" by M who felt the .25 didn't have enough stopping power after the events in From Russia with Love...

Just saying....

And even the use of the Walther was suggested by a fan named Major Boothroyd who wrote to Ian Fleming and suggested the Walther would be better than a Beretta...

later he would go to cons and lecture about bonds weapons and consulted oh the movies

Depends on what format we're talking about - in the movies, Bond sported a Walther PPK (most of the time). The Flemming books, he was all over the map and the John Gardner books, he tended to favor an ASP 9mm.

I wonder if you could re-skin AotE to Bond of the Empire?

I wonder if you could re-skin AotE to Bond of the Empire?

I think you could get pretty close!

Part of me was imagining using Feng Shui 2 as a Bond-style RPG, but I love how the SWRP system handles stealth, investigation, communication and social conflicts.

Why a Glock? Bond was all about the Walther (PPK or as in this poster a Walther air gun) and not a Glock.

Because Desslok was speaking of how he pictured me, and I was jokingly pointing out the ONLY differences (Glock, less hair, different clothing).

All of this sharing has moved me. I would normally never reveal my true identity because all my life I've been shunned for how different I look, been turned away for jobs because of my appearance and been forced to get into few relations with friends and otherwise leaving me only to form them over the internet where anonymity has hidden my different look from others. However all the kindness seen here makes me think I can finally step out and summon up the courage to show my true self, this community has always been welcoming to me so I don't think I'll be judged to harshly... I hope.

Man, typing must be hard.

Rolling all these dice without opposable thumbs is tough, so I support the moose.

Thumbs, no, but there's always moose knuckles...

Looks like he is chewing something red, perhaps there is a good thing for a moose if you roll 5 despair.

This thread has evolved from the art of bullying to "the tangential art of threadjacking."

P.S. I meant to say evolved, not devolved.

The evolving of this thread from something negative (I'm being treated bad without owning-upness or replies to the OP) into something bizarre but fun speaks oodles of the overall character of this board. Without thought, we transformed it.

Sorry if this post, recent ones, or ones in the next day or so are erratic. I'm trying to cut back on my one vice (coffee) and I'm going through withdrawals.

Sorry if this post, recent ones, or ones in the next day or so are erratic. I'm trying to cut back on my one vice (coffee) and I'm going through withdrawals.

Repeat after me:

Coffee is not a vice. It is the lifeblood of the tech world.

Coffee is not a vice. It is liquid and does not make a good tool for clamping things into place so that they can be worked on with other tools.

Coffee is not a vice. It is black gold, and the second most traded and important commodity in the world.

without coffee, there would be no America. it was the lifeblood of the enlightenment.
