The art of Bullying someone...

Roads? Where we're going we don't need. . . roads.

Nah, mouthymerc is one of the good guys :)

Can we now officially declare this thread 'derailed'?

this thread detailed when gryphonx stopped answering it, so right away really...now im just using it to talk with new friends lol.

well, it has given this thread a chance to devolve. I mean, we went from talking about how we should be nice to each other, to cute boys. to what we think each other look like. without him, this has been kinda fun :)

so how is everyone doing?

It's really interesting to me to find out people are imagining what each other looks like... because I never have. And now I hve to think about the fact that I've stopped wondering what things or people look like. It might not be the sort of introspection OP was hoping for but it'll have to do.

As unofficial official on matters of thread derailing and threadjacking, I officially declare this thread derailed. Officially. Or unofficially. I've already forgotten what I was... Hey... Who are you people?!?!?

I know I am new here but I always wonder how others perceive me.

edit: I think im going to.jump off this train now. its hitting a wall. thanks gryphon for the chance to get to know everyone better.

My question is why would a GM even allow a PC that has intense hate for another PC? Yes, sometimes PC conflict can be fun and interesting, but it usually quickly de-evolves into mad chaos, which this player seems to strive on.

I as a GM do allow peopel to create these abominations, then they quickly get hit by a bus , and have to make a new character. I have even seen a group not accept a new PC just because they felt it did not fit them, and they would not hire them into the crew.

Rails, what are those? The information super highway has no roads or rails!!

Saddly he is considered a long term friend of the group, and with 6-7 Players in the group + our "normal" shannangins we don't want to take the time to fight with him over how poorly his characters are designed for group coshesiveness. (the water buffalo idea from miishelle's other post is par for course.) the facebook fight was largly due to us pulling aside the GM at the time to hit him with a bus. But 3 times in a row of me (as another player) having reasons to remove his character is not accaptable in my book... I wouldn't mind playing with some of you guys just so I can get some balenced feed back as to wether or not i'm just too difficult to play with.

The sad state of affairs on the internet? Everyone is a guy - at least in my mind - until proven otherwise.

Me, very much a guy:

Here, if you want to see the Rage Penguin in action. . . .

(Haley, it's a bunch of self portraits of me from the 70's to now - and not a lot of description. I'll just have to leave you with the illusion of me as a Rage Penguin. :) )

I try not to think about if anyones a boy or girl. neither do I want to know real names. things change in online.friendhips.when you find out too much about a person irl. so I won't ask, neither will I share. that includes.pics of little miishelle.

that said, what a cute little desslok Jedi. at least master skywalker isn't behind you

Yeah, I think i'm going to stick with imagining you are a penguin with extreamly expressive gestures.

So.. My Braille interface stopped working which is why I've been unable to properly format my replies around quoted messages for a couple of days. I'm not sure when I'll get it back because it has to be sent to see if it can be repaired. I've only had it a few months and I was so happy when I got it so I hope it won't be long. I have an older interface to use in the meantime. Until then, I hope you'll put up with my ugly posts.

Sorry to force my name on you, Miishelle. The Haley part, anyway. After being called pretty and Haley so much, when I was 2, I thought Pretty Haley was my actual name. It stuck. I suppose I could have done a lot worse. Then again, if Desslok's right and I'm a guy, I did.

But then there was this awkward talk I got from my mom would take on a whole new level of weirdness if that were true.

Yeah... This threwd is seriously derailed.

Well, with a name like “Vixen” and a profile pic showing a bit of cleavage, I am left wondering how much you need to … wonder. ;)

On the whole, I agree. However, in the case of Haley, I’m happy to take her at her word — unless/until proven otherwise.

Beyond that, unless someone does something to bring the issue of gender into the equation, I don’t see that it matters that much.

Nice, bro! <scratches inappropriately>

Desslok if you ever stumble upon a comlink capable of transmitting back through time, you might want to contact Young Obi-Desslok just before this badass photo was taken (love the beard) and whisper, "Zip your pants up boy!"

Thanks for the backstory. I have just gamed with some people in the past that really made game no longer fun. When I am no longer having fun, I don't need to play this game anymore. For me, I would rather not game at all then game people that make me miserable.

When I was in Germany, I left a group due to one person in it, he just made the game horrible for everyone, but no one wanted to hurt his feelings. I said I have no qualms about telling someone that they are ruining the game for me. I would rather go play TOR than game with that guy again.

Different topic now:

For me, as far as the knowing what people look like thing, I kind of like to know. I guess it has to do with me wanting to know what my favorite DJ/podcasters look like and voice actors. Since I never listen to The Order 66 podcast, I had to go dig pictures of those guys. For me it's kind of neat knowing, and of course, I pictured them nothing like what they really look, but there you have a voice to work off, here we just have typed words to work off of, well except for prettyhaley, then we all sound like girls. Hahahaha.

:)

(@PrettyHaley, how do emoticons work for you? How do the colon/close parentheses translate? Your tech sounds pretty awesome, but I have to admit, I am totally ignorant of it, so please, understand, I mean no offense.)

And maybe not have some take that picture!! LOL, hahahahah, I'm just just being mean and playing around. :)

Oh, for a Twitter account that could cross the boundaries of Space and Time. I'd tell him to zip up - no wait, actually, I'd tell him to buy Apple stock and live with the shame of exposing myself to the world. . . .

Marcia Taylor, born and bred in Cardiff, Wales.

Unlike my avatar, I'm not a Pulp-Lovecraftian martial artist, karate-chopping Cthulhu to death.

I'm an Insurance Underwriter (which is boring) and a lifelong gamer geek (which is not).

I'm small and slight and skinny; for most of my life I looked young for my age, but in the last few years time has caught up with me a bit. My players tell me I'm reasonably attractive in a geeky way, but I'm certainly no Playmate (do they still have Playmates???) I look fairly bohemian and dress like a typical geek; varifocals, gamer t-shirts, jeans and sports shoes (we call them 'trainers' in the UK).

On most RPG boards I frequent, I'm okay with telling people who I am. Places like DeviantArt, the Bioware forums and fanfic sites usually have more girls than guys anyway. RPG/videogame sites are usually okay; most gamers are guys but female gamers are not really rare anymore, as when I was growing up. On more testosterone-fulled sites (wargames, 40K etc) I usually use a male or gender-neutral name and avatar.

Approved!

Why do I feel like I'm suddenly at a Gamers not-so-anonymous meeting. And yes they still have playmates. Mind you, with Maxim and various other magazines, they are not as much in the spotlight anymore. In fact, TheChive and various other sites seem to dominate the girl pics scene these days. Newspapers and magazines are giving way to their online analogs.

fight was largly due to us pulling aside the GM at the time to hit him with a bus.

Tough crowd!

And I thought my players were hard on me!

Well I am Sara. An overweight, redheaded, mid 30's trans female. I am fairly open about me to be fair. Although I am careful about the forums first.

Due to my career, I can't openly say who I am or post pics that could identify me or even exactly where I'm from. No I'm not a spy, I'm a cop, so once my name and department are revealed any posts I make suddenly become me representing XX PD and City of XX even if I make a disclaimer. Thus, I must remain anonymous in order to remain. Edit: If there happens to be a computer genius here whom would like to out me for giggles please don't since it would mean an account delete for me.

This may be a big mistake (this entire thread turn), but what I can say is I'm a male, 45, look like a white guy but partial native american, Christian, BS in Criminal Justice and Sociology, Midwest US, ex-military, over two decades in law enforcement, wife from Thailand (met in military), one daughter (Star Wars fan), somewhat closeted geek due to my trade (telling someone you like to pretend to be an elf wizard or rodian Jedi on the weekends doesn't inspire confidence in alpha personality swat team members towards their commander). Been a Star Wars fan since 1977 and RPG fan since 1983?
