If you want to fly the full dial Phennir VI is the way to go.

Since Baron Fell's ability triggers when he gets stress, I believe other Interceptor pilots are better suited to not take Push the Limit. You want the Baron to take stress.

I agree that Fel is probably the Interceptor that it makes the least sense to try to fly without PTL unless you have a rididulous amount of stress effects in your local meta. Carnor Jax seems like he'd be a much better candidate for Lone Wolf instead of PTL, especially if you have him grouped up with ships that like to be at range from their targets. Even then PTL is probably the stronger choice.

Ptl or stay on target both work well with fel, extra actions are great and so is the ability to alter course when you know where the enemy ends up.

Lone Wolf and Autothrusters do kind of conflict with each other a bit because they only trigger on blanks. Also, both of them really want focus tokens to get the most out of. If your Interceptor with Lone Wolf, AT, and Stealth boosts or barrel-rolls, rolling nothing but eyeballs means you aren't dodging anything.

I think the issue with Stay on Target is that unless you have a Wingman , you can only acquire stress every other turn. SoT changes your maneuver to red, you get a stress then you need to do a green maneuver next turn to get an action (no bonus focus) and the you are free to SoT again next turn.

I agree that if you want to use an Interceptor without PTL, Carnor Jax with Lone Wolf or VI, or Turr with VI are better choices, because at least you will still have access to their abilities.

I have always found it ironic that the Interceptor's reliance on PTL basically cuts it's dial in half. I recently starting running Prototypes over the elite PTL A-Wing Pilots, and have been loving having access to the A-Wings full dial all the time, too bad generic Interceptors are too overcosted to do the same.

Jobu is saying that since Soontir is relying on red maneuvers to get stress (and therefore that focus), he can't do it every turn without a way to remove that stress (via wingman) since you can't perform a red maneuver while stressed. He's only able to use his stressing mechanism every other turn.

I don't think that the Alphas are that badly priced, they do get three attack. If the Alpha Squad Pilot had been included with Imperial Aces, I think they'd be a bit more popular than they are.

Ive used a Alpha ceptor swarm with Howl. Gives your opponent something else to chew on. Whilst theyre busy attacking the QB youre doing 9 attacks with the other ships around her. Also had Turr Phennir + VI in that list. It was good fun.
