Hi. Not posted here for a while, but since pre-ordering I'm getting really excited about this game. Been reading the forums and it seems like more people are leaning towards Imps than Rebels (Star Destroyer love?). Anyway, thought it would be interesting to do a poll to see if that is the case or not.

So, which faction will you PLAY THE MOST? (feel free to add your reasons why)

1. I love those big grey triangles - Imps all the way for me .

2. The force is with me - I'm siding with the Rebels.

3. My loyalties are divided - I will play both equally.

Personally I'll be playing Rebels. Can't afford to do both factions, and the ships and tactics appeal to me more - lots of smaller, faster ships, as opposed to fewer big ones (although I'll probably field one medium or large ship a lot of the time).

I will crush the Rebellion once and for all, and bring the Empire's order back to the galaxy.

Both equally for me, so that I can get more people into the game. Given the option of just one, it'd be Imperials, but not practical in my case.

REBELS

Rebels all the way. Why, because Imperial Ships are lumbering Goliaths of Doom. This ends up working out perfectly for me because my idea of tactics was always hit and run. Don't get me wrong, I find the cosmetics of the Imperial ships more appealing in short especially Star Destroyers (Victory and Imperial) however my favorite ship of all time has and always been the C90 Corvette and finally having the chance to run one as one should be ran makes my day all that much better.

I will be showing my Imperials love from time to time however for competitive play I find that Rebels will be the way to go for me. Call it personal preference, call it cutting edge. I find brute force to be unappealing at best.

I'm more excited for Rebels at the moment, I like the look of that Assault Frigate Mk II. Things might change when ISDs come out, although at that point we'll also presumably have Home One etc, so who knows!

This one's tough for me. As the big pusher of Armada in my area I will collect a good sized fleet for both, and I've been most excited thus far for the imperials, but I'm secretly hoping the article on the Rebelions ships will change that for me. I think I'm going to have to say rebels because I feel like they will be better set in wave 1 to switch up their strategies on the fly. Just a more diverse spread of capital ships and heavier fighters, I think I'll win more with them depending on how the objective sytem turns out.

Hmm, I dunno about that. The rebels seem to have a good choice of smaller ships and no larger, while the Empire has a good choice of larger ships and no smaller (remember the Victory miniature covers two classes). Should be interesting. Also, this depends, I suppose, on how the Assault Frigate compares with the Gladiator.

In X-Wing, I have both, but with a few exceptions, I just always play for the Empire. When I go to the FLGS, I don't even bring my Rebels anymore.

It's not that I dislike the Rebels, but I like the idea of even limited narrative stakes. I can get a smidgen of that by playing for a team. Also, with the Empire being a little outclassed in the meta, I can be for the underdog in terms of the meta, and for the bad guy... erm, forces of law and order in the lore.

Rebels all the way. In reality I will play both, but Rebs will be my go-to choice.

After all, Imps seem like easy-mode. "I will trundle forward slowly and throw massive amounts of dice. What fun!" Give me some maneuver and strategy!

Kidding, kidding, don't hate me.

I will drive Imperial forces out of each and every system. I will then become a new galactic empire, purely for the protection of these newly liberated systems..... So I guess my answer will be both

Rebels. I might do an Imperial fleet someday after later waves come out but I greatly prefer tar Wars capital ship in the smaller classes so the Rebels have th most current ships I am interested in by far.
