The OSF could be alternate wingman for the Falcon at 39 points for Outrider title and Mangler.
At least something else than 3 Bandits or Talas.

That's just mean and you know it.
.
It makes Ten Numb slightly useable, key word slightly.
If you are facing the Imperium, everybody and his uncle has an evade token, if you are a traitor and fight the Rebels, everybody has shields. And Ten Numb has a PS of 8, so will likely shoot first. You can pair him with Wes, but that is a lot of points for a one-trick-pony.
An evade token counts as an evade result on the dice, so it wouldn't be able to cancel out the crit from Ten
Read up on the faq. I stand corrected, thanks for pointing that out. This makes Ten Numb the number one Phantom Hunter.
Mangler isn't meant to replace the HLC. IT is nice mix for the Outrider to not have the donut hole weakness. I played Chewie with Dash in a 2 vs 2 game. I used the extra points to give Chewie Predator. So Chewie was dishing out more damage than Dash. But both destroyed a slightly wounded Bounty Hunter in one turn. The crits from the Mangler was crippling the Imperials though. Like Soontir losing all his actions and a few direct hits here and there to others.

Not really he'll be focused down first because he's worth alot of points in a tournament to the other guy.
He's even stronger against Interceptors, which have no shields. At PS10 Ten might very well be able to draw a bead on Soontir.
anything that could make him better is good in my eye, and this might make him the only source of guaranteed damage for the rebels (as far as I know, other than a missiled Blount)
Autoblaster and Accuracy Correctors should work.

Don't worry about it. It got changed in the last FAQ. Until then, evade tokens do actually stopped Ten Numb's ability.
Who knows, maybe phantoms were one of the reasons why the ruling for evade tokens got changed.
I don't know if its worth the points on a Defender. 4 points to just turn a crit seems pricey. Not even sure if you'd even want to use it at range 1 and lose a die. I'd probably rather just spend the 3 extra points and fit a HLC. I'm already paying a ton of points for a Defender, what's 3 more?
I have a hard time spending 7 pts on the HLC for Col. V. I know people rave about it, but I have a hard time finding the points in the lists I write. I can find 4 pts a lot easier than 7. I will be trying the Mangler on Col. V.
The Mangler Cannon? A special design we constructed for the Outrider. Never sold one since.
I heard Imperial Kath Scarlet ordered one. One hit auto turns into a critical? Then, if you evade it, you get stressed? Seems custom made for her. So, you either take a crit or you take a stress.
Krassis could use one, too. If you stick an HLC on him, everyone just closes the distance. It shoots at all ranges and he gets a free re-roll. It also doesn't cost as much as an HLC.
I know that most of the interwebs loves the HLC, but I have to admit that I have a hard time finding 7 pts for it. Yes, 3 is less, but I like to think of it as the same points as most ships' main weapons, works better at range 3, and then adds a critical hit. Look at the thread about Store Championships. Do you see how many big ships there are out there? Mangler cannons can wreck these big ships. I played vs. a Fat Han and was lucky to get a number of crits on him until his main weapon was down to 1 red attack die. It makes a big difference in game play.
I can also see a Lambda using one to sit back and lend support. Hard to spend 7 pts for something that can die easy, but 4 pts is easier to swallow.
Personally, I'm eager for the Mangler Cannon to become official.

I think my first reaction to seeing the Mangler was that Krassis could take a Mangler and Recon Specialist for the same price as an HLC. I love me some Recon Specialist on Firesprays and Outriders.

Yeah, he's very expensive, but he usually can have TL + Focus on 4 attack dice. It makes it very easy to get 3 or 4 hits.
4 hits can one shot or severely cripple a lot of ships in this game, especially if the flub the defense roll.
That's true, but I've used Col. V without the HLC to good effect, as well. I still have a hard time finding the points as it means my other ships have to suffer. I'm not saying it's a bad choice, but it's not an auto-include. You said, "What's 3 more?", but it can be a lot to me, depending on the list.
