I was interested in running an assault on an ISD (I-class) to scale using the scale currently in use for the game so I did some math…
As best as I can figure the ISD model would need to be 16 feet long and 10.15 feet wide at the widest point. That was the easy part though. Other than finding the space to have such a battle (which I definitely don’t have in my house), figuring out what stats the ship has is proving to be challenging. Presuming one could field the upward of 80 – 100 fighters a standard ISD carries, what would be appropriate hull / shield values for the big ship? Also, armament is tripping me up. I figure it has a 360 degree arc and weapons powerful enough to vaporize any ship in 1 – 3 hits (although in the movies the Falcon takes quite a few and survives). I figure it has to have the equivalent of at least 40 – 50 shields (per hull section of which there would have to be at least four) and a hull value of at least 50 per section.
Allowing for approximately 25 points per ship on average (and bringing in a bunch of friends for one seriously epic Epic battle) it could be conceivable to field two 4000 point lists with the ISD itself costing 2000 points and the rebels fielding anything and everything they can think of. On a 30x30 game space it might just work.
