so ive been playing with rexler brath quite a bit and have tried him with pred but outmanuver keeps staring at me which would you guys say is more useful on a defender or in general really

I think since its so necessary for Rexler to have a focus token for his ability to work, Predator is your best choice for this pilot. I think outmaneuver would work well on Wedge and A-wings, but I know your feeling of having Outmaneuver call to you. To be honest, they are both great abilities, and either of them will serve you well.

Outmaneuver is often redundant on Wedge, though: doesn't do anything against 1-Agility targets.

As for Brath, even though I ran him with success with Outmaneuver, I think Predator is probably superior. One re-roll is probably almost as good as -1 Agility, but 2 re-rolls is definitely way better. Outmaneuver does have the small advantage of shutting down C-3PO, though, if your area is full of Fat Hans.

there is the odd fat han but is mostly decimators so outmanuver wouldn't help there but there's a lot of swarm builds and a couple e and a wing builds

If you're up against swarm builds and Decimators I'd go with Predator. Outmaneuver (as stated previously) is useless against 0 agility ships and swarms usually run some PS1 or PS2 ships. Predator allows you to re-roll two dice against them!

Predator you will use almost every attack, outmaneuver very few if any. I think the decision is easy.
