I just got the game and myself and a friend played through the tutorial. Since it's only 1 player controlling 2 Rebels, the eweb and probe droid are left out. I guess I just don't see how a rebel player can control the wookie (or any other rebel) and essentially have 28 total health. We ended up playing with just the wookie against the 3 storm troopers and 1 imp officer after 2 rebels totally owned. And the wookie wiped out all 4 minis with under 10 total damage taken ( we tried this 5 different times with similar results). I understand this tutorial is for learning purposes, but unless I just rush my units to a terminal which felt like cheating, my imperial forces were just fodder for the rebels to destroy. I want to introduce some people to the game, but does the balancing get any better? Also do the rebels really just flip their card and get full health again on the wounded side? This seems wrong. Just want to make sure we are playing it correctly.
Rebel wounded flip?
The tutorial mission is really meant just to show you the basics. While the rebels can seem overpowered, it is also extremely easy for the imperial player just to run up and grab the objective and win.
If you run the tutorial mission again, try using three or four heroes and treat it just like it is, a tutorial to learn the basics of LOS, dice rolling, activations and movement.
Once you get out of the tutorial mission and into the campaign missions, you will find the missions are much more complex, have different victory conditions, and of course, the imperial player gets threat every turn to spend on reinforcements, so there will be no shortage of Stormtroopers to crush the rebellion once and for all!
Have fun with it!
