When I started I painted up a few Micro Machines to get a bigger selection, espcially the x-wing fits spot on!

Yeah, I binned mine years ago. Having said that, the MM toys lack the fine detail of the FFG models. I would probably cut up my MM units and use them for debris.

The escape pod is a fantastic idea though! Kudos!

haha, I've done the same thing with mine! And here I thought I had an original idea, haha.

Was thinking of getting some snowspeeders and doing the same thing...they actually are pretty decent models, compared to the other ships.

**** wish I could find an escape pod that didn't cost a fortune for postage. It does look perfect for X-wing
