Campaign Friends of Old

By Reklawyad, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

We played this side mission tonight and had a question come up with regards to the Rebel Trooper. After reading through the mission we had confusion on if the Rebel Troopers activated as a group or were like heroes and had to activate one at a time.

In the rules it says you replace it with a Rebel Trooper figure.. so I'm not sure hoping someone else an help with this as it's quite a game changer either way.

The rebel troopers activate as a unit (just like a unit of Stormtroopers activate), meaning if you have 3 on the table, when the heroes choose to activate the Rebel Troopers, you would resolve all Rebel Trooper figures as one deployment group.

Ruling breakdown:

A) The mission states you control the Rebel Troopers as allies. (At this point you would take the Rebel Trooper deployment card from the box and place it on the Heroes side of the table).

B) "Allies" RRG Page 4 states: Allies follow all the rules for other figures that have deployment cards.

C) "Group" RRG Page 13 states: While activating a group of two or more figures, each figure resolves its action independantly. Resolve both actions for one figure before resolving actions for the next figure.

Make sense?

Thank you, I couldn't figure that out last night as we were playing as it seemed to contradict itself.
