Commander Splatbook Specialzations?

By Lotr_Nerd, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

That might be interesting.

I wonder if they will doone ground focused spec, one fighter pilot focused spec, and one cap ship focused spec in the career book? Or maybe they'll do combo specs like a capship/fighter squad spec, a capship/ground spec and a fighter pilot/ground spec?

Yeah Commander and Engineer are the two I want the most right now.

I'll be very interested to see what new specializations come out with the Engineer book. I recall someone in another thread thinking that Bioengineer could be a crazy addition, with the potential to create clones or bioweapons or other kinds of monstrosities. I can picture Kaminoans, Ugnaughts, and Verpine as new species for that book.

I'm hoping for a ship designer spec and rules to support it.

Bioengineer/Cybernetics/Droid Engineer would be great.

im not expecting the AoR Engineer book until the EotE Technician book is out, and not close together due to similarities, probably going to get the Technician book later this year (I hope) so Scientist book probably early 2016.

needles to say there will always be something we know about and are waiting on for the next 4-5 years!

I don't know they did smuggler and ace which are the EOE and AOR piloting focused careers close together after all. They might do the same with Tech and Engineer..

I could see a spec that's more about "hearts and minds" and being that "charismatic face of the resistance" type who mixes social skills with combat savvy, and probably has at least the basic Inspiring Rhetoric or something of a similar nature to inspire/motivate the troops under their command.

I was thinking something like this. Think of all the great quotes from movies that leaders give before battle. Maybe a combat oriented Agitator.

What about something like a Drill Sergeant specialization for the Commander that could give other characters boosts like Inspiring Rhetoric, but also boost their combat abilities the way the Recruit universal spec would, except on a much smaller scale?

That could be pretty cool.

Well there goes my hypothesise...

basically this product line has gotten to the point where i just want to yell at FFG "JUST TAKE MY MONEY ALREADY!"

Yeah basically everything that has come out which I don't own or is announced I want. Diplomat is the least interesting career to me but the part on building Rebel bases will be worth it and I'm hoping for some interesting goodies in the gear and vehicle/ship sections too.
