Unspoiled scum, list and speculation

By AgentV, in X-Wing

So, for unspoiled scum stuff we have the following:

PS 1 HWK pilot (most likely a generic), probably the same point cost as rebel operative, with an illicit slot to compensate for being 1 PS lower (Most Wanted)

PS 4 Y-wing pilot. Likely idential to the rebel one, save the different astromech slot. (Most Wanted)

Calcu.....? An ept that many have said likely deals with focus tokens, seems to also deal with when you attack. (StarViper)

M3-A dial. Speculated to be good, as it is considered an interceptor. Contains a red 3 k-turn

Most wanted and Aggressor each contain 1 face down card, although they are likely additional copies of spoiled cards.

Anything I missed? Any additional speculation?

I'll be very surprised if the Star Viper card isn't "Calculating". It'll probably just make your attacks more effective, or have some sort of risk/reward aspect.

Or it could be Calculon. char_48372.jpg

The PS5 generic M3-A pilot's rumored to have an EPT, but not known yet.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one

Curious if whatever Calculate(ing/or/ion/etc) ends up being if it'll be Scum only or not. I'm only planning on picking up a StarViper to start so I'm hoping it isn't.

I don't think Calcu??? will be Scum only, there's usually a line at the top of the card dedicated to saying "Rebel/Imperial Only" in italics which isn't there on this card.

Also a possible torpedo ordinance upgrade has not been spoiled in the Most Wanted Expansion. Though its speculated it's just another bomb loadout for the Y-Wing

Spend a shield to flip all blanks to focus.

My vote is for Calculon. Crew upgrade.

I would guess that the MA-3 includes an additional K-turn. I would be surprised if it happens to be any color other than Red.

So if you have recon specialist or something else that lets you have multiple focus tokens, could you switch all eyeballs and all blanks to hits, or will using both on the same roll be disallowed?

Seems like it would work well with Recon Specialist, yes, and more importantly Guri, who is conveniently also in the StarViper pack. Spend one Focus to make blanks [booms] and one to make eyes [booms]. Guaranteed maximum hits with those combinations!

(This is, of course, all speculation.)

For 2 points? I think that it's really, really good. Accuracy Corrector is 3 point vs the 5 point RecSpec+Calculon combo.

I was debating whether to guess 2 or 3 points. It takes up a valuable slot and needs some kind of combo (Guri, RecSpec, Fleet Officer, Garven, etc) to make it happen, so I don't think 2 is unreasonable. Han (Crew) also costs 2, though he is Unique.

This would make Missiles and Torps very ususable again

Having 2 tokens aside, this would be very powerful/useful because you could decide how you wanted to use the token after seeing what you roll. Rolled 3 blanks, use calculating, rolled mostly eyes, use it as a regular focus.

Yep. The math on Han Solo (Crew) puts your offense roughly halfway between having TL *or* Focus and having TL *and* Focus. I figure this should be something like that. It makes sense, IMO, from the name "Calculating". And as an added bonus it'll be the first useful dice-modifying offensive 2-point EPT.

After rolling attack dice, you may change all BLANK results to HIT Results. Then change all HIT and CRIT results to blank results and receive a stress token.

That will in no way fit based on the spoiled image. If you look at my post above, the stuff not in brackets is what we can see (edited below for clarity):

I think this is much more balanced an interpretation of what this card may be. The idea of a ship being able to change blanks into Booms seems a bit broken to me. As well it is a calculated risk to sacrifice your evade in order to have more damage out put. Just my 2 cents.

While I like the idea, my feeling is this isn't going to happen. The Star Viper doesn't have an Evade action and I don't think they would include an EPT that wouldn't work on the ship it comes with.

What if you could spend a target lock instead? Or is that to many words?
