So. Scum ships.

We know them now.

What beat them?

Example:

IG88 has an astonishing suite of abilities, upgrades, and usability.

Unfortunately, it has only a standard firing arc, and can only occupy a 6-8 pilot skill range.

Whisper and the high PS Interceptors say hello.

Probably the reason they settled at 6. Higher than most ships you see, but lower than the whispers and dashes and Hans that you see. The IGs do have pretty intense mobility for their cost, so his pilot skill helps moderate that. While higher PS maneuverable ships will be able to outmaneuver them, they will certainly be difficult to predict, even with stressing upgrades.

I wonder if that lower PS combined with the large base and crazy movement will let a pair of IG-2000s block likely moves from high PS ships so that one of them is likely to cause a bump and the other will have the ace in arc.

I don't think it's a coincidence that IG88 has the same pilot skill as Echo. I'm sure there was some effort by the designed to limit the amount of crazy that you could see from a VI/Advanced Sensors IG88. Even a PS6 version with Stay On Target could be brutal.

My thinking exactly.
