New to X-Wing, looking for some feed back :)

By abbojm01, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I have only played a few games, but so far love love this game. I really want something that just packs a huge punch.. was thinking about this list.

Jan would give the extra attack dice to ten, and use int officer to help get positioning on my main target. Airen will remove stress from jan, so she can keep up better, and also give that free action to ten so that he can use his mark and target lock on the first fire, then fcs will help out after that.. They are all PS8 so i can have some flexibility and block if I want, also Airen can take a pop shot at the target before ten or vise versa to get the target to use tokens.

Also, I could swap Airen for Lt Blount w/ VI and Ion pulse missiles for range 3 ion on high value target, than follow up with the next turn boom.. and his PS8 would help to move/attack first if needed.

Thanks!! I am a total noob, and need some advice (this isnt a tournament build just for fun.. I am a little nervous about playing in a tournament being so new)

I don't think there it's enough damage output, even with Jan. She may throw 3 red with the ion turret, but still only does one damage. Well probly die first, but really when your opponent takes down Ten Numb your list will be really hard pressed for a win.

I could remove the pilot ability and change out the z for another B wing. Would that be a better.

Drop Merc Copilot, Intel Agent and Cracken. Add a Blue w/ FCS and put Swarm Tactics on Jan. That's a shooty and beefy list.

Thanks Red Winter, I think I like the idea of having two B wings more.. seems more durable and better damage. I tend to get stuck in that over modification mindset with all the pretty upgrade cards and theorycrafting. :)

I would be careful about putting too many points into B-Wings. They have so many options for the upgrades you can put on them that they are almost a trap for your squad points. Those 8 hit points melt away really quickly when a couple guns get pointed at it. As a general rule, put the bare minimum on the B-Wing to do what you need it to do and spend the rest of the points elsewhere.
