Whisper VI ACD vs Wedge

By Replay, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hi everyone,

The imperial faction have the initiative and at a moment of my game Whisper and Wedge are one in front the other at range 2, both with 9 of pilot ability... simultaneous attack.

What happen?

Phantom are cloacked or not when Wedge attack? If the attack is simultaneos and the ACD card say: AFTER YOU PERFORM AN ATTACK, the clock arrive after the Wedge Attack.

Thank you

You cloak before Wedge can shoot back.

Simultaneous attack just means the other ship(s) of the same PS get to attack even if they're destroyed. They don't get to do so immediately. So all "after you attack" triggers get to go off before they get to attack.

That also means any crit effects on the defender go into effect before they can attack as well.

As noted Wedge will be shooting at a Cloaked Whisper.

Even with the simultaneous fire rule shooting first has its advantages. A big one is that all of the things the shooter does still happen before the other guy gets to go. Whisper gets to Cloak and pickup that Focus token.

Other examples of 'wierd' Simultaneous Shooting situations:

At PS 5 Biggs gets 'popped' early on but any other ships you have still need to fire on Biggs despite him flying dead.

Say we are looking at a bunch of action at PS 8 and Howlrunner would be destroyed; until she returns fire all those allies near her will get her bonus but once she fire's she is dead and her bonus goes with her.

Thank to all

Just ran into this last night in a 2v2, good to know for future games.
