Looks like it jumped from the boat to the stores.
So the Rebel transport pack is in Stock on the Upcoming page.
I just don't see the point in buying the huge ships, they seem boring other than a very cool visual, I just don't see any fun in spending my points and money on a slow ship with a bad dial.
i should get one

they are used for epic format but which ive heard is actually pretty fun
Epic is awesome-you should DEFINATELY give it a try. You obviously don't need to use huge ships but believe me they absolutely add an extra dimension to games and as such are a definate consideration for purchasing. My all time favourite Tourny (and favourite game to boot) has been in (an amended) epic format. Rebel players obviously got huge ships and imps didn't but it was great fun trying to swarm a big guy and bring him down... Try it!
My local gaming store has them in stock. I'll second that they are fun to play.
Epic is super fun. Like most people jumping on them back in May 2014, I didn't have much time to play more than a handful games throughout the summer, but I've recently played more live and vassal games with them. Surprisingly, I like the transport more than the CR90, which I now think is a support ship at best, only doing damage at ps4 if you concentrate fire on token-less ships that have been shot by the rest of your ps4+ squad.
Transport is very effective, it either acts like a huge Biggs-like entity, letting you take risks with the rest of your squad, or it's ignored and creates all sorts of havoc, forces bad maneuvering on your opponent, can create situation where a lowly A-Wing that does not have the correct TL for an assault missile suddenly gets coordinated into having one (bonus if you PTL at THAT moment and boost + TL into position).
My mid-term goal is to find an effective CR90 squad.
Just found and picked up a transport at my FLGS last night. Had 10% off all star wars merch for the launch of Marvel Star Wars #1 comic. I really wanted a few of the X-wing and astromech cards and looking forward to some epic play. The Tantive is a harder sell at its price. C-3PO and R2 crewers are nice but...
Two days ago the expected date was listed as "Q3 2014". Something was slower than expected.
Over the holidays I ran the Escape from Hoth campaign with my friends, we all had fun.
The huge ships are, agreed, pointless if you don't play any epic. But epic is a lot of fun and it's great that the imperials will be getting a huge ship soon too. What I want to see is more 3(+) person scenarios from FFG. I mean, when I hang out with my friends there's usually more than two of us.
