Tycho + PTL + Daredevil

By Rogue Dakotan, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I know there was a big thread on this combination earlier, and maybe I didn't read it closely enough, but When I sat down to play with Tycho, PTL, and Daredevil I was confused.

Was Daredevil changed in the errata? Otherwise I don't understand how you could take Daredevil as your second action, or if you already had stress.

PTL says that you can perform a free action "Shown in your action bar." Wouldn't that mean you couldn't use PTL to do a daredevil action since that's not an action in your action bar?

Also if you already had a stress token before doing a Daredevil action, wouldn't that then not work, since it's considered a red maneuver?

So you'd always have to do Daredevil first, then trigger PTL and in the end you'd have 2 stress? One from Daredevil's red maneuver, and the other from PTL?

Someone explain to me how it works that you could use Daredevil as your second action. I must be missing something obvious.

Daredevil has been eratta'd to be a white manouver that then deals a stress, I am unsure about the action bar question though

I'm sure my version of daredevil says execute a white hard one then gain a stress. Which is subtly different.

Ah. That makes much more sense now.

Yay Errata!

You can't use PtL to trigger Daredevil as the second action because it's not in your Action bar, so you need to use Daredevil first, then then PtL off that to do an Action bar action. You will get a stress token from Daredevil, and then another from PtL, but of course, Tycho cares not about such things.

The updated card text is on page 1 of the FAQ.

That's because FFG reprints with the corrected text when there's errata. You must have a later print run. :)

That makes sense.
