So if you have cluster missiles and FCS, do you get a lock-on before you roll the 2nd attack. We just played a game using the proxied tie advanced. and I let it go since it was for fun. But is there any ruling on this yet?

I'm pretty sure since they are two separate attacks, the FCS would kick in on the second one.
That said, there is an official FAQ that covers most of this stuff, as well as a Rules Questions subforum.
Yes. Each attack from Cluster Missiles counts as a separate attack. FCS would provide a Target Lock after both attacks. The Lock provided by the first attack would be usable on the second.
Yes you do, because each attack with Cluster Missiles is a separate attack, fully resolved before the next one takes place. So you would have a TL for the 2nd CM attack.
Cool. I didn't see any ruling on this. We played it correct. that's what counts. Playing against the new tie advanced was quite interesting.
The cluster missile attack is treated as two separate attacks - FAQ page 14
FCS triggers after an attack is completed, so you may gain a target lock after the first attack - spend it for the second attack, and reacquire it after the second attack (provided you don't attempt to maintain more than one TL at a time)
Thanks Guys.
Personally I like the interaction of Accuracy Corrector and Cluster Missiles, either I roll three naturals or I get two hits, whichever works

Even on primary attacks, if you roll a pair of crits, you're doing quite well. ![]()
Similar vein, vessery gets a TL after rolling dice so he could get a TL for both attacks as long as he spends the first.
I'd not thought of that before, kinda obvious really.

he's not obliged to spend the TL in order to acquire a new TL with FCS
but seeing as he can only maintain 1 TL and he'd just be reacquiring the TL on the same target it wouldn't make much difference
that distinction may be worth noting for other pilots and upgrades though
