Cameo Appearance: Asajj Ventress

By theclash24, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

so basing my game years before a new hope and will replace the heroes in that war (when/if) it comes to that time period with the PCs. There will be no Luke, Han or Leia etc. My PCs are the main characters, always. So my cameos will be sparse to nil. Don't get me wrong, my PCs will be flying the Ebon Hawk, unknown to them-- so cameo appearances will occur...like their T3 unit and most likely HK. But, I'm a huge fan of Asajj Ventress (even though in the show she never ever ever wins- unlike the comics where she kills Jedi masters)

That being said, down the line Asajj Ventress will make an appearance at least once. A. She will come back to aid a force user teaching them the dark side to defeat Vadar. B. Help attack the empire or save them from an empire attack. C. Other. D. All of the above.

So maybe you guys could help me use the EOTE book to create a template for her?

Asajj? You’ll need a lot more than EotE to spec her out. You’ll need F&D at least.

Personally, I’d build her using the Inquisitor rules at the back of F&D. Just call her Asajj instead of calling her an Inquisitor.

Hmmm ok well thanks for the heads up...I was planning on getting it -- but wanted to ease my players into the game and genre and later have cameos

Having the extra CRBs\Sourcebooks\etc does not mean you have to use them right away.

Conversely the 3 CRBs work great together. Need a random rebel to hire your crew to smuggle something, AoR handles that. Players are helping some colonists on a backwater planet only to realize a Darth long ago left a holocron behind and they must investigate!.

So many reasons to have everything, aside from the $$$ reason, no other reason I can see NOT to have everything, just in case.

This is a statblock I had created using the Inquisitor rules for Darth Talon with a few tweaks to turn her into Asajj Ventress.

Love it!

I have been using the adversary cards that FFG sells. I'm eager for one with Force Users, because that is missing, but I don't mind skinning my colourful nemesis characters on the standard card until I have a reason to flesh them out in greater detail.

During a session, the adversary cards make things neat, tidy, and efficient!

My only suggested change is that Ventress is agile, rather than physically strong...

Yeah. I was just switching around the characteristics at a glance. I wasn't really thinking too hard about where I was putting everything at the time of the posting. The original block for Talon had the 5 in agility. Feel free to prune and add as needed.

Very cool thanks!
