Scyk and Destroy

What about this list:

Laetin A'Shera w/ Heavy Scyk and HLC

4 x Cartel Pilot w/ Heavy Scyk and Ion Cannon

The idea is that you can fire away at any range and Ionize many opponents. Laetin is there to hit things and add the punch because Ions alone won't do it. The way I see it is that if there is a big ship, these things will be able to Ionize it every turn. Laetin can clear any C-3PO and other evades. The Ions just pummel it. You can Ion something off the board. Stay at Range 3 and your high green dice should help. The Ions still do a point of damage every time. If you can stop ships like Fat Han or Dash from doing any maneuvers, you can do well against them.

What about a Swarm? Well, at Range 3, you can Ionize half of them and get the extra Range 3 evade vs. all the shots. Your mobility should help you get around them and break up their formation. Then they aren't half as bad.

Phantom? Well, if you can get a solid turn of shots in to Ionize one, I think you'll do it. Four Ion cannons firing will most likely tag it once. Once Ionized, you just need to keep firing. It will be pretty predictable going 1 straight. It only has 4 hits before dead.

3-4 ship list (like 4 B-wings)? Oh, that would be a joy! You have a decent chance of ionizing each ship every round! How hysterical would that be? If they have no turrets, you can just walk them off the board.

You could go with Serissu w/ Ion Cannon and Stealth Device. That would help Serissu from being blasted on the first turn and help anyone near her. The extra Ion Cannon will mean less damage, but more control. You can pretty much guarantee that you will control a lot of the enemy.

Thoughts?

If I was flying a big ship I would be scared of this list and would try to avoid those arcs like a fat kid avoids exercise. I kind of like Laetin over serissu because now there's a tough choice. Do I hit the hlc damage dealer or the 4 ions. Against c3p0 r2d2 title shenanigans the hlc can punch damage through. That won't matter much though if the ship gets walked off the board. If you fly them with a group of 2 on the left. Laetin in the middle and 2 more on the right you should be able to catch stuff. Swarms will be harder just for quantity reasons but I like this list alot.

Yeah, Swarms will be the toughest, in my opinion. Still, if you can Ionize half of them, then the formation either breaks up or becomes predictable. I figure you'd have to come in from the sides.

The best part about the large ships and avoiding arcs is that these things barrel roll. Yeah, we don't know the dial yet, but I can't imagine anything named Interceptor having a bad dial. You only need 2 hits to Ionize it. That happens once and it becomes very easy to deal with.

I think the easiest list to face would be a bunch of B-wings.

If the Syck has a 1 forward, then it could be an awesome platform to "walk" things off the board. Otherwise it could be difficult to stay behind your victim.

I agree about that. If it's a big ship, though, it might work to do a bank and a barrel roll? Well, we'll just have to see what the dial is, really. It might also help to have all 5 ships walking a Falcon off.
