I'm more curious as to how often you actually need to roll a die more than once (not counting rerolls)? I haven't had time to play yet, but later in the campaign do you have so much better gear you need to to roll "bucketload" of dice in which case I could understand the need for more dice.
if you have the core set you don't need any extra dice. Maybe if you're rolling 3 greens. Or if you run the unique AT-ST in skirmish.

For me it would be almost strictly a matter of convenience if I'm hosting a game and sharing/providing all the gear (ie. the other players doesn't have the game themselves) in order to avoid having to pass the dice around the table constantly
That's why I bought the dice app it's more convenient and cheaper too.
They are still listed as at the printers on th eupcoming page, so at least a few more weeks. Probably more like late February or March I would guess.
It will be nice to have a second set like forensicus said since my wife and I share the core set while playing.
Also, some people are a bit superstitious and like to switch to another set when things are not rolling well.
As the Imperial and only legal government representative, I don't want any dirty scum rebels touching my dice.
They need to get their own. ![]()
If we eventually see figures rolling 3 dice of one color, I'll consider a dice pack, but until then, I don't feel a need for it.
I'm in the "I don't want to share my dice" group, so I bought one as well ![]()
Yup. As soon as these become available, I'll be picking them up... Assuming that they're not going to be ridiculously priced.
I think they are listed at 12 bucks. But it is just nice to have. Especially if you are on a long table, and you are sitting at the end, it is just a choice and maybe convenience of having an extra set or 2 so that the imperial player has its own and the rebels have 2 sets to share. That way, there is not more, hey, can you please pass to me the 2 red dice that are at the other end of the table... pauses the game... after a few secs... thanks, let me roll now.
As for the IOs app, I really the physical dice.
Specially like someone mentioned above, some times you don't want for anyone else to touch your dice, and that's most of the time true for role players.
Me included.
Just wondering.
Thanks
Most likely at most FLGS ![]()
