I would classify myself as a compassionate conservative with more emphasis on compassion than conservatism. I'm usually not happy with either US party because neither does well on social justice issues.

I agree. My current character uses a Czerka Arms KS-23 Hammer from one of the splatbooks. It's an interesting beast: its base damage is between a blaster pistol and blaster rifle, but it also has Blast 6, which tends to put it well over most unmodified weapons for damage in the hands of a moderately skilled user (for the 2 Advantage). However, Blast is most useful against groups (typically Minions), so it's less useful in a fight against a single Nemesis. More importantly, however, is its Short range. Not only do many encounters start out at longer range, but if the enemy is in Short range so are you. Firefights tend to be quick and bloody when the difficulty is Easy. (Protip: if you're using a weapon like this, invest in Initiative skills and talents.)

Well, we're already getting Lords of Nal Hutta at the end of this month, so that accounts for January (1st month of Q1)

Best case scenario is that we see it at the end of February, otherwise I figure it'll be towards the end of March (which is still Q1).
