325th Fighter Wing 100pnts.

Hiya folks. Another Idea I had after once again loosing to the same list over..and over..and over..and over..lol Here we go!

My idea here is to wait for my opponent to move within range. I am expecting to take atleast a round or two of heavy fire, Once those missles are fired. Jan (if i read the card right) should add a Die to each one bumping them from 4 to 5. Plus IF they hit.(counting on this..I know it is a big if) That is a 100% 4 dmg on any ship within 1 of the target ship being shot at.

My main idea for this list is to counter my buddies. He run's BIggs with R2 and shield upgrade, Airen Cracken with Swarm tactics, Ten Nub with Marksmen and a Bandit squad. It's a **** tough list to play against.

My Theory is since I am forced to shoot at Biggs, He( my buddy) always runs in a 4 block formation, it never fails. Shoot bigs with the missiles. So long as they hit thats 4 dmg bouncing to Airen Cracken..wiping him out without having to shoot at him. A attempt to kill two birds with 1 stone. I could then Ion Ten keeping him forced to move 1 straight, and circle around behind him .

What do you guys think?

Jans ability only work on a single unit because giving it to an entire squad would be OP.

I like the Idea, however it seems that Ethan A'baht would fit a bit better in this squad. being able to turn one of those hit results into a crit would hurt imp swarms of any kind.

How about,

Your getting 11 base dice normal, Plus the extra crits will cripple biggs much faster. Other than assault missles and Ion Torps, Biggs should be somewhat dead. use your other missles on him B-wing. and pick his list apart one by one. Remember you still have 11 base attack dice which is still pretty good.

That way you make sure at least one of the missiles fire first round of combat with TL+Focus, even if the bandit was out of TL range when it moved.

Those are all great ideas, however the reason I took assault missiles was to force 2 different things. 1 Force my opponent to break up his formation killing the synergy his list has. or 2 get possibly (with great luck) 2 kills in 1 full salvo from the squad. However, Seeing as Jan does not work how I thought she did. I think I am going to swap her out for Biggs. Give him r2 and for ***** n giggles a Flechette Torpedo. (or whatever else I can find that works well for 2 points.)

How about this? Which of these two do you folks think would be better.

I'd go with this one with a few tweaks.

Swap R2D2 for R5P9.

Drop Hull Upgrade on Biggs.

Give Bandits Munitions Failsafe.

Sure it's 4A vs 2D for the Bandits but that 1pt insurance would have been the turning point in some games had I equipped it.

Outmaneuver Wedge is overkill and occasionally underutilized with the X-Wing lacking extra mobility. But with it Wedge gains an even stronger "Biggs effect" because should he Outmaneuver his target he's dropping their Agility to 1's and 0's unless Stealth device is equipped or Range and Asteroids come into play.

If you think PTL and Swarm should be swapped for Cracken and Blount, the reason it is like that is to give Cracken and the Bandit F+TL for their Assault Missiles. Blount does not need PTL because his is guaranteed to hit/proc.

Wedge is the variable in the list so if you have a favorite 32 pointer or better use of his points use it.

Also if 'nuking' Biggs is the main objective you might want to consider using some Concussions or Homing for better direct damage.

Thank you so much, I like those ideas alot. "nuking" biggs is the main goal yes lol as it is the core of the 4 ship squad I am having trouble with, but also my buddy flies them so close together the idea was to overwhelm him with the 1dmg to ever ship within 1. My hope for best results is to drop 3 ships at once (I doubt it will happen, small chance though) or if not, atleast hurt them alot .

You could run for Royal Guard Interceptors with ruthlessness. :P .

I want to give a update, I ran the list with biggs r2 and a hull upgrade. Wow..worked out super super well. My buddy broke his formation which killed his ability's and messed up his synergy. I only lost 1 z-95. Those assault missiles pack one hell of a punch also..incredible when they work! Thanks for the Help folks!
