Stay on Target - Hot Shot - High-G Training...

By Tancradus, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

So yeah I just spent 34+$ for the Stay on target book, opened it to a random page... page 29 to be exact and chose a random skill to read, which happened to be High-G Training. Does it really read "When a starship or vehicle being piloted would suffer system strain, may suffer stain up to ranks ranks in High-G Training to prevent an equal amount of system strain"....

Does it really say "stain"? and then lets cut and paste a couple more times without fixing it. I used to play wizards of the coast games where they pumped out books quickly to make a buck. I have to tell you I was really disappointed spending all of the money and finding a spelling error as I read a random thing from the book...

Please do accept my apologies if there is a component called "stain", although a pilot wetting his pants in combat????..

Truly unimpressed. Can I send my book in for the updated version when someone gets around to it? :(

Mistakes happen. Every book has them, no matter who the publisher is. Best thing to do is chuckle, shake your head, and continue to check out all of the awesome content within.

I think that the intent here is obvious. Hotshots are intended to be stained in various shades as they make use of this ability.

Yeah, my editor is amazing, but even she can't catch every keyboard pound I toss her way. I can overlook the occasional soiled flight suit from ffg.

The best thing you can do is point out the error in one of the two errata threads already created for this book so that the typo can get fixed in future printings.

And while Fantasy Flight's Star Wars system suffers from the occasional typo or copy-paste error, (Sentinel Class Shuttle, anyone?) the editing is still tremendously better than what we were getting from Wizards.

Edit: Typo.

Yeah I am not unhappy per se... I am just a tad CDO. Just hate spending money on more than one copy.

overall I am kind of disappointed in SoT. it seems to me it was rushed.

You need to buy a second copy because of a single typo???

It's only fair as the Hotshot has to buy a new set of panties after suffering stain.

I can only imagine your reaction to FFGs early 40krpg suppliments. Possibly spontaneous combustion.

Our Hotshot doesn't wear any. (NSFW, you know where to look...)

Plus, we have a house rule that lets you use the Resolve talent to reduce Stain.

The Second Wipe talent is also very useful for getting rid of stains in a hurry.

Contact the Better Business Bureau and inform them you were provided a product containing a typo and no information was included on receiving a free replacement.

It's correct in my (shameless plug) pdf talent sheets.

Not quite as good as the great Mango Bomb from the 40k series, but close.

"Negative, negative. It didn't go in. It just impacted on the surface."
