Anyone else getting impatient for those minis? LOL

By huud007, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

I have a few friends that want to start a campaign, but we all agreed that it might be better to wait until all the miniatures come out so we don't have to use the tokens and have all the missions to pick from.

But man, I keep looking at that "ship" icon in the upcoming section, and I'm just going crazy.

I would play anyway. Can always play again when minis are out

I would play if you have any desire to do so before say May ...

:P

I wouldn't count on the "boat" to be here anytime soon ...

I thought the same way, but I started a campaign with my group because it was the winter Holidays and we were all home.

It was very anticlimactic bringing out the royal guard champion token after a cool trigger narrative :P

I wouldn't be able to wait. Luckily I have a big collection of the WOTC Star Wars minis I could use instead of those tokens.

LOL exactly. I see after playing a game with fantastic miniatures...then pulling out a cardboard piece and everyone frowning. Same with some of the missions that come with the minis. I've run the game for a bunch of groups that aren't hardcore about the campaign, but I think I'll wait for the group that really wants the full experience.

It's good that you are gaining expereince with other groups though. Can't tell you the amount of mistakes I made.

I'm looking forward to the "full" expereince as well with my gaming group: miniatures for every character + everyone famailiar/comfortable with the rules :)

I would start the campaign and perhaps allow the side mission and agenda decks to be reshuffled if the packs comes out

Aye, but it's a good thing I still have some more painting to do until they arrive.

Hehe

We will only play Skirmish until the expansions come out. I'm a miniatures snob, so no cardboard cutouts for me.

Feel free to send your cardboard cutouts to me.

Make sure you write "attention AgentJ" on the package.

Really?

The main reason I want the expansions is for skirmish maps.

I've played the crap out of the current ones, and two of them I really don't like.
